Honestly I think you miss having a purpose. If I suddenly was rich, I'd probably still continue working during tax seasons, but certainly would cut way back on work the rest of the year.
Paredes and scrub… what a trip the Covid year was. the Astros are the only team to truly be impacted by this year in a wtf fashion… and yet they still got to game 7 of a fake ALCS.
That thing was nasty. I loved watching him pitch. Ohhhh what could have been. I was heartbroken in 86 I started laughing at some of these swings.
Keith Hernandez is on my top 10 most hated list as an Astros fan. Game 5: "with runners on first and third and one out in the Astros' half of the second inning, he called Craig Reynolds out at first base as the Mets completed a double play and ended the Astros' inning. If Reynolds had been called safe at first base, then Kevin Bass would have been credited with scoring what would have been the Astros' first run, since he had already crossed the plate. As soon as Reynolds was called out, he leaped and shouted at the umpire. So did the Astros' first-base coach, Matt Galante. The Houston manager, Hal Lanier, came running onto the field to protest." The Astros lost the game in extra innings, and of course a chance to get to a winner take all game 7 with Scott on the mound. I have read that Keith Hernandez slapped his glove before the ball got there. Since an umpire can't watch both the glove and the base, he would watch the base and listen for the ball hitting the glove.
