All he had to do was put his arm out to feel for the damn wall and he would have made that catch without even jumping.

Meyers would have made that play look basic AF. It might have looked a tad more impressive for Chaz, but he certainly would have made it also.

The ball was hit 416' and hit 6" below the line. That was a tougher play than the broadcast made it look.

Not an easy play, but easier for a CF than a utility guy.

Problem is that Yordan was credited as the fielder so baseball savant didn't calculate a catch probability for Dubon on it.

This is a play by Chas that was very similar except it had a lower launch angle and was a foot shorter (so less time in the air, but had to travel slightly less). It was rated as an 85% catch probability. No way being slightly closer to the wall makes this less than a 20% catch probability.

Yep, not an easy play, but I agree it is a play that I expect the other 2 CFs to make most of the time. Dubon is fine with plays in front of him provided he calls off the IF or generally to the sides. Dubon's weakness as an OF is going back on the ball. He does not track balls over his head as well as CFs.

Dallas Keuchel has faced 36 batters this season and has yet to record a K.

I'd be happy for him to continue to be part of this team...as a bench coach. He's praised for all of his prep for the pitchers, so he can keep doing that as a coach.

Charlie Morton is always an Astro as far as I'm concerned. Love that guy.

    Same with McHugh.

    **** feeling bad for him.

His option is going to vest and his contract will end up being 10/360. He will win the Cy Young this season and has about a 50/50 chance at the Hall of Fame right now.

He decided he wanted to go to the Yankees and knew what he was getting into - half the Yankee fans think his first name is “Jared”.

Marisnick - Springer - Meyers and McCormick make that catch IMO… I actually think Pedro Leon makes it too just because of how fast he is… I do miss watching prime Marisnick play center…. Same with Siri.

They wanted to - but couldn’t resign everyone, Astros felt they couldn’t gamble on the injury risk.

Morton and McHugh were probably considered the nicest player to Astros employees and fans - other than Altuve…. Who is really quiet but probably the humblest batting title winner since Rod Carew (who is another guy that has the reputation of being a real gentleman).
