Man, I knew we shouldn't have traded him. The kid can apparently play two positions at once! :D

Enmanuel Valdez as an opening day starting MLB SS is…an idea. He was roughly league average with the bat in AAA and has played a total of 2 games at SS in 7 minor league seasons. I think Valdez is a decent prospect and could possibly eventually be an everyday 2B in the majors, but if Boston pencils him in as their everyday SS in 2023, they are tanking, hard.

Weird. The called strike he was so upset about looked like a pretty clear strike to me. Not sure why he got so upset. Maybe there were a lot of prior bad calls that already had him worked up.

There are plenty of people who are emotional and do not cross that line. Like the typical fanatic.

He got upset because he was thrown out of the game. His reaction to the pitch may not have had anything to do with the Umpire. It might have been because he didn't swing. Someone would have to ask him.

What an offensive accusation to make. Apparently you can not control your accusatory exclamations.

It wasn't meant to be a compliment. Its supposed to be offensive.

People who behave like this over a bad call in the domincan league, how do you think they behave over an argument with their spouse?

    Out if line.

I say - a person who accuses another person of abusing his spouse out if thin air, when family and relationships weren't even mentioned

    PROBABLY BEATS HIS SPOUSE

I think it's certainly indicative of emotional problems, and those who struggle THAT much to control their emotions often end up lashing out at others. I wouldn't want to make a definitive statement about anyone engaging in domestic violence, but I don't think it's ridiculous to suggest that someone that can so easily get that unhinged fits the profile of an abuser.

Is George Brett a wife beater? After all, he went ballistic over a call.

I thought domestic violence was encouraged in the 70’s.
