    And I hope he's a taller/bigger guy. Large knots looks silly on smaller framed individuals.

    I have so many ties, it's hard to keep track. I'd guess in between 25-30, maybe even 35.

    Not as big a fan as I used to be. Like Ferragamo's, they're too ostentatious. Yet, they better suit older men like my father.

    I prefer Charvet, Hilditch and Key, and Luigi Borrelli.

    Do me a favor, please, Ashe, and just give me a ball park figure, or count them if you can't remember... no biggie if you can't. I'm wondering if I have "too many", but I don't think I do.

    That's a Pierre Cardin polyester. :cool: EVEN on Hawaiian Shirt Fridays, I wore a tie... (only because I was attending a ceremony as a speaker).

    of course the brands you listed are also quality ties

    I still like many Hermes ties. The one I just picked up isn't ostentatious looking.

    I probably have 20 or so. My previous employer required them for daily wear. I've been out of that job for a little over 5 years now and haven't worn one since...except to a funeral where I realized I had forgotten how to tie it. I blocked that process out of my brain and I hope I never relearn it.

    Mrs. SwoLy likes it like that, hence I like it like that. :) Those hairs are not as long as pubic hairs, though, that would look bad. Should I take a closer photo? Please don't say YES.

    6, half windsor or 4 in hand.

    I have more watches than ties. I work in big oil with a business casual dress code, so just no need to buy more ties.

    I have about 2 or 3 ties that are pretty current. The rest are tons of hand-me-downs from my dad from the 80's. My GOD those colors are ugly.

    Luckily I only have to wear polos and jeans to work.

    I have about 80 but seldom wear a tie anymore. I let my daughter pick one out and wore it to her fifth grade graduation. First tie I'd worn in years. My favorite ones are from the Gilda Radner collection-- got them at Sears years ago.

    I have a lot but only wear one or two different ones, the few times a year I actually wear one. These two are fake Zegna ones I bought at the Shanghai fake market for about a dollar each.

    And my streak has come to an end with a black silk tie I repeated (on some days, I wore Polos or just a t-shirt). I have to go back to counting how many I wore that didn't repeat. :eek:

    It's gotta be more than 30 now. It's been over a month-and-a-half I hadn't repeated.
