I liked Flash Gordon a lot when I was a kid. I think I saw that movie at least 20 times in the theater. It's not as entertaining as a 32 year-old as it was as a 9 year-old (or however old I was then), but I do watch it when it comes on the TV. I have Kentucky Fried Movie on DVD. Definitely not as funny as I had remembered it. One movie (actually series of movies) I enjoy are the "Trancers" movies with Tim Thomerson (and Helen Hunt in the first few). They got progressvely goofier as time went on, but they're fun flicks.
They used to show a really random movie called "six string samurai" on HBO a few years back. It was a really cool crappy movie. As mrpaige, said the Trancers movies are pretty cool. The scanners movies are also great late night entertainment.
Thank you. I couldn't have said it better myself. As a blues musician and afficiando, you would have to tie me to a chair and stick a morphene drip in my arm before I would watch "Crossroads".
as a blues fan...I would agree. as a fan of Steve Vai's weird guitar playing...I do admit to waiting till the movie is almost over to tune in and watch him do his thing. I never could bear watching that Karate Kid guy in anything..he sucks. Scanners/Trancers.....classic...cheesy as hell...but fun nonetheless..
