i think the rockets are a playoff team.but i dont see any of the teams that made playoffs last year droping out this season, maybe the kings,and then there is a few teams that have improved such as dallas.but if one of the teams get injuries or misfortune i think us or dallas could sneek in. if only we were in the east!!!!! ------------------
If the team stays as it was last year, I see us making the playoffs. This is assuming that Walt continues to light it up, which I really don't think he will. Look at his history. I don't believe that he has performed like he did at the end of the year for a whole year in his entire career. We also have to have Cat back & if the Bulls keep striking out in the FA market (hahahaha)well, like CD said, we have to be concerned with them throwing lots of money at him just to show the fans that they did something. (Not his exact words.) I see Shandon & Francis being much improved over last year & more importantly, much more comfortable with their roles. Hopefully Cato will come back with a renewed committment, KT will have refined his game some more, & the two rookies will hopefully surprise everyone & have us shaking our heads in disbelief that Rudy & CD did it again. "BELIEVE IT" I don't think that the team that we see right now will be the same team that opens the season. We have to use the exception or lose it & there seems to be a lot of teams that want it pretty bad. Also have you noticed that Oeilpere & Doc Rocket have been quiet for a while now? I think or should I say I hope that the Rockets are going to pull off another surprise trade after August 1. It might not be another blockbuster like last year, but I'll bet some of last years players will be traded with the exception. And one last thing. Don't give up on the Dream. He may have lost a step or two, but on his worst day, he is better than 90% of the centers in the league. I believe that he'll come back for his last year & go out with the same style & class that he has shown his entire career. I for one, am going to miss the big guy. ------------------

I don't think Seattle will duplicate the effort for the playoffs this year I think Payton will be disillusioned by the All Star Break. I dunno how the lose of Malik Sealy will do to Minnesota. I think the East may even be weaker too. Rocket River ------------------
I say that the Rockets will at least be a 500 team next year, since that is exactly what they were the last half of last season. (I am assuming that Mobley will sign.) I also say that the Rocks will not make the playoffs and thus be a lottery team. ------------------

Now i know alot of people want to say the Rocks will make a run for the playoffs this year but...GET REAL. The rocks have not improved their team as of late and even if we do pick up some quality role player ..it won't be enough. The rocks have plenty of holes in their system and one off season like the one we are having so far will not propel this team to the playoffs. This team is championship bound but not anytime soon. We'll be in the lotto next year PROBABLY. ------------------
