Shumpert is not a plus player. I cannot see the Rockets giving up anything of value for him.

They could use back up three point shooters who shoot more than 36% from the field. Casspi and Garcia are not getting it done, I would like to keep Casspi cuz he's young and he had that crazy good preseason. If your gonna be a three point special shoot it at 40% or more otherwise we get an athletic wing who can defend or a better shooter, Mike Miller anyone??

I agree. Certainly not our best point guard who could be like Steve Nash in 3 or 4 years.

Then need time, not big changes in personnel, especially someone along the line of Jeremy Lin who is building trust and chemistry with his team mates. The guys on the team have ability, but they have to be turned into a well-oiled team. I think the bench needs help, that's about it. Casspi and Garcia could go, but I like everyone else.

I agree. Nash with some Parker and maybe better defensively than both.

Yeah, too bad we didn't sign James Jones from the RGV. He's a good, long defender who can knock down 3's and cut to the rim. Way ahead of the development curve than Covington.

How long did they sign him for?

    NO! JUST NO!

Who the hell gives up a pick for James Jones, let alone with Garcia?

    Garcia= Jones.

Both are 3rd stringers that can just shoot and are rather inconsistent on D.

A lot of people saying "James Jones". That's the 3 point shooter on the Heat. I believe yall are talking about James Johnson.

Yup, but I compare him to Nash, because Nash slowly got better through the years and it was like yeah he was average then good then MVP. I see that in Lin, he just needs to mature.

A backup swingman that could get minutes at the 2/3 and take minutes away from Garcia would be nice.

If only the Courtney Lee/Kyle Korver/Martell Webster types weren't locked into long-term deals.

You are correct! But I think JAMES JOHNSON would have been the athletic wing off the bench, who could provide defense, an ability to get to the Rim and a punch that none of our wings have.

Casspi and Garcia are shooters....that's it

Jones was signed this year and played about 20 games for the Vipers. He was their main go-to guy on offense, defense, rebounding, etc. not Canaan, not Covington, not Ohlbrecht, but Jones was the best player on that team.

Fisrt off, it wasnt a complete trade scenario because as I said I don't know the numbers. Second Garcia is trash right now and we are talking about a 2nd rounder. Perhaps the Grizz throw in another player, maybe even Mike Miller. And I also meant James Johnson, lol. I think he and Miller are well suited for this team.

I'm not sure he went off his first game with rgv, I thought morey would have been signed him to a bev type contract and waived brewer, he's only guaranteed $100,000.

Morey great but he still confuses me with stuff like this and getting rid of Morris who is helping out suns major off bench shooting 40% from 3, but he goes after casspi hard who was sitting on the bench all last year

Yeah I was kinda shocked about Morris too, didn't make any sense, now we ned eactly the player he is, lol. Guess Morey can't be perfect all the time.
