I think we both know those were 2 very different situations for Udrih. Beno played with the Spurs for a few years and just didn't have it. You're right, obviously Beno Udrih fits better with the Kings' style. Shawn Marion fit better with the Suns and there are many more. I just can't see him playing that poorly for 3 years and being waived and becoming a starting caliber PG. Those types of situations are rare and Beno doesn't strike me as a rare player.

The problem ur having is the same that I have, many rox fans only watch the rox. Its nothing wrong with that, but to get a poster to evaluate other teams players are limited to when the rox play that team.

Beno played very well. He made huge strides once he got out of Pops doghouse. He played very well while Bibby was hurt and once bibby came back they traded him. Beno has always been a deadeye shooter. Running a team and keeping up with opposing pg has been his knock. Watching the 20 or 30 games I watched of the kings and seeing him play, he definitely is better than rafer. There isn't 1 thing rafer does better than beno. It would be a coup if the rox got him on the cheap, but if kapono can get 6 yrs at full mle, beno will get close to it.

Francisco Garcia would be a good fit-tall/athletic/good 3 pt shot... He will be a huge upgrade over Head... can even play some PG with T-mac being such a great passer

Scola is, in my opinion, easily 6'9". Luis just isn't a leaper. He busts his a$$ off and is an excellent rebounder, especially on the offensive glass, but he doesn't have the hops Landry, for example, has when healthy. Landry is shorter than listed and better keep that explosive leaping ability, or he isn't going to be nearly as valuable to the Rocks. Hayes, of course, is just solid. The guy is what he is... a great 3rd option off the bench for defensive substitutions.

I'd like to get Calderon, somehow.

I like Udrih but as someone stated earlier, Sacramento plans on making him their starting point guard for years to come.
Why do you think they let go of Mike Bibby for trash.

Garcia v MacMillan = why Fernandez reportedly doesn't want to go to Portland. Nate apparently doesn't trust him, but maybe he just doesn't fit there?

Fernandez sounds, to me, like this summer's Scola. He's the feller I am keeping an eye upon. Also, JCN - the unhappy Griz and close pal of Pau.

I actually think that Rafer Alston is much better point guard than Beno Udrih will ever be...
    but seriously...
