You really should have seen her walk out to really appreciate her dress.

Wow...she may have come across as the dumbest guest since Farrah Fawcett. The whole, "it was an accident, that wasn't supposed to happen thing" was such a joke. And it was classic to see Dave dance around it over and over again. Funny stuff.

Mayer was great. Clarity is my favorite song from that CD.

I was really hoping he was gone be bigger than this and not bring it up... I too was uneasy during this interview and I have lost a little more respect for Dave. He's quite the ass. Still, you won't find me watching Leno any time soon.

I can't see how Janet sat through the whole thing, I would've definately been like, "if you are not going to ask me about anything other than the superbowl, I'm outta here" I so, wouldn't have answered any of his questions and just sat there and made him look like the freak that he is.

Not impressed with the interview of JJ.

Headlines, Jaywalking, Kevin Smith's Roadside Attractions. What's the common thread? Well, they're the best features of the Tonight Show. They're also the features that don't have to rely on Jay or his writers to be funny. In fact, Jay makes Headlines less funny with his comments.

How did she come across as dumb? Because she didn't want to answer Dave's question about an event that took place 2 months ago? I thought Dave beat a dead horse over and over again.

BUT, Dave also realizes that the only reason she came on the show was to promote her new cd and Dave has always seem to loathe self promoters and made fun of them.

    1. it was her publicity stunt to begin with

    2. she's waffled on her story like crazy...answer the freaking question once and it goes away....see #1 above

    3. there is no way in the world she did not think that dave was going to ask her about that....i mean, what else in the world was there to talk about??? he even alluded to that. he asked her aboutt the new album...she was nearly mute...he asked her about her brother...she said she couldn't talk about that....maybe he should have asked her about the weather???

He asked her about the album all the way at the end, and it was 1 or 2 questions, that's about it. It wasn't like he asked her first, and she kept quiet and then he went into the SB thing.

And how much does she have to answer? She answered how she wanted ... according to her it was an accident, this was supposed to happen, but it didn't ... what else does she have to say to end it??

The point Faos was making is that Dave kept repeating the SAME thing over and over "So what you're trying to say is xyz" ... that got old. I'm sure she knew this is going to come up, but that was the ONLY thing that kept coming up.

i hear ya...but dave is a comedian, ultimately. the situation is funny, to say the least. what in the world did you think was going to happen?? if i have someone pull my shoe off, i'm pretty certain it means my foot will be exposed. when i take my shirt off, i'm pretty sure my torso will be exposed. the whole "it was an accident" thing is just laughable...and that's why dave kept it up...

but it didn't matter what he asked her...she either had a "no comment" response...or she had the briefest of responses....even to questions about her new album...and of course to questions about her brother.

    MM,

I agree ... I thought the whole thing was very entertaining. I love his demeanor when she's on the show, but I still think he went a little overboard.

About Michael ... I'd get pissed too if someone kept asking me about my sibling when it's me I'm trying to promote/talk about. If you want to know what's going on with him, get him on the show ... don't use me to get to his details.

But again, I understand that people are always fixated on Michael ... comes with the territory I guess.

This mornings GMA was the same as David ... the entire interview was about the SB. It got to the point where the fans in Battery Park just started chanting "No more SB", but Sawyer didn't pay much heed, lol.

But, the album is great ... if anyone likes her music somewhat, you will really enjoy this one. :D

this was her publicity stunt to begin with. now she doesn't want to answer questions and seeks to play the martyr about it. i don't have a lot of sympathy for that, frankly.
