I don't think being lazy or scared has much to do with it. Most non-conformists simply don't feel they should conform to a set of standards they don't believe in. In fact, it could be argued that it is much easier to just shut up and fit in as opposed to swimming against the tide. So, theoretically, it's the conformists who are lazy.

Sounds to me like things would be easier on YOU if they just conformed.

Nah. Youre taking a simplistic view of the situation. Its harder on the non-conformists because usually their lives aren't as easy. It would take considerable effort to do a 180 and conform, so instead they would rather not conform.

As for it being harder on me, thats ridiculous. Why does what a non-conformist do have any bearing on how easy my life is. I'm not hindered by them, its just an annoyance.

BGM, if you want to go see a silent film, just go to a regular movie and tell them to turn the volume down all the way. :D

People should just conform, huh? A little list of non-conformists...

    Jesus
    Ghandi
    Albert Einstein
    DaVinci
    Beethoven
    John Lennon
    Bill Gates
    Benjamin Franklin
    Jim Carrey
    Henry David Thoreau
    Plato
    Oscar Wilde
    Joan of Arc

Oh, I guess you could say every artist, musician, scientist, spiritualist and innovator too.

A wise man once said, "Every society honors its live conformists and its dead troublemakers."

Jesus - The man responsible for a hypocritical, far too powerful religion.

Ghandi - I dont care about him.

Albert Einstein - There is a difference between conforming and going against obvious evil.

DaVinci - Not familiar with his non-conformity... cool guy though.

Beethoven - Didnt Beethoven write an Emperor's Concerto in honor of Napolean? I could be mistaken...

John Lennon - Ahh. Interesting. I guess you could label him a non-conformsist. But his genius was such that he became something that people conformed too. The Beatles became the accepted pop culture.

    Bill Gates - nerd

Benjamin Franklin - Again, not sure how he is a non-conformist
    Jim Carrey - wierdo
    Henry David Thoreau -wierdo
    Plato - Cool guy.
Oscar Wilde - Who is he again?
Joan of Arc - b****. She deserved to burn. The English should have won that war.

Nomar: Good job dismissing history. What are you, 17? Oh, right. You are. Nevermind.

Of course, you shouldn't ignore the casual stupidity for long. It only gets worse as you get older.

Jeff said this thread was a joke.
I'd seriously talk to him about this.
Seems as if he has issues with you.

And I'd like to take this moment to honor the memory of a Mr.Ben Kingsley who we all know played Gandhi in the film.

Uhh are you honoring the memory of his portrayal of Gandhi or the memory of him. Because he is still alive unless he died in the last 2 hours or so.
