Ford makes the best trucks in the world, so I get where they are going with this.

Still, people's tastes and markets change. Seems a bit risky to me.

I'm a little surprised they're killing off the Fusion; I thought that car was popular. About time Ford's cutting the Taurus...good move.

Yeah, there's still a good market out there for compact/small sedans like the Corolla and Civic. College students, young (20s-30s) unmarried professionals, etc. I think that market will remain solid for awhile longer...possibly until self-driving cars really become mainstream.

The Camry and Accord should remain strong for awhile longer simply due to their long track record of reliability.

But in general, the mid-size and full-size sedan market has been on a slow decline since the 90s, and the introduction of crossovers has accelerated that trend. Crossovers and SUVs are simply more practical as family vehicles.

My uncles F-150 caught on fire a few weeks ago from the inside while the car was sitting in the parking lot. The firefighter said it looks like the seat warmer electrical is what caused the fire.

The accords are not selling that well actually. Honda paused production for 11 days to move existing inventory.
