So exactly how much more are Carmelo and Stoudamire raking in just cause they are in NYC?

The really dumbest thing is Forbes writers think they know everything.

    WOW.
Bunch of New York sissies crying because their team sucks.
Can't wait for them to get swept in the playoffs, granted if they even make it with their dysfunctional piece of **** team.

Lin is already signed to Nike and now he can pocket millions in Chinese endorsement deals.
What is he getting in New York? Media that is on him 24/7. They would have destroyed him if he didn't play like a superstar all season.

The author acts like Jeremy Lin had a CHOICE to come back to the Knicks.

However, the Knicks didn't even OFFER him a contract

The Rockets changed their initial deal by adding $5 million more dollars. Is Jeremy Lin supposed to call Dolan and tell him the new terms?

Jeremy Lin had no choice because there was only ONE offer. Knicks gave him full freedom to test the market. Knicks didn't want him as much as the fans did.

Awesome, though Battier might give him a run for his money. But really, the education bar in the NBA just isn't that high.

Typical NYer bias. They think you can only get famous in NYC.

After LeBron, Dwight, and Allen I think too many morons watching the NBA are holding onto the "loyalty" gag. Like these players owe their teams something. LOL. They wanted Lin to come back for vet. min because he got famous in New York.

Unbelievable. Allen got bashed for wanting to win and taking less money. Lin gets bashed for wanting the money. LeBron gets bashed for not holding up to his "promises" in Cleveland and winning them a title. Dwight gets bashed... well he actually does deserve it.

At the end of the day its just a bunch of bitter fans mad because a player didn't showcase the "loyalty" that they thought were owed.

Can't stand these rich snob douchebags thinking that they should get handed everything on a silver platter.

I wouldn't expect any less from a New Yorker. When you can't have something, talk **** and say you didn't need it anyway.
