Great! We should be able to go over the cap and pay luxary tax all day, everyday, no problem.

Man, these franchises have skyrocketed in value. Vivek could turn around and sell the kings for around 800 million and pocket a cool 300 million after only 1 season.

Price gouge the fan and then never spend over the luxury tax. Les knows how to make money.

That's insane. In other news, I made 1.7% on my 401k last quarter. Too bad investing in an NBA team wasn't an option.

Wait what? What are you investing in with your 401k? Last two years, stock-wise, have been ridiculous boons.

^apologies beforehand for my unsolicited and nosy comment

I don't understand what this has to do with paying the luxury tax. If the Rockets had cut Dorsey instead, they'd be within $3 million of the hard cap, which would have really restricted trade possibilities.

If you think I'm just being a Les apologist, go ask any Clippers fan what they think of their GM having to trade picks like crazy to dump players like Dudley and then sign minimum guys like CDR, only to waive such players again just to fit Austin Rivers under the apron.

The Rockets are going over the tax this season. The Shved portion of the Brewer trade made clear because they took on $3mil in salary for no reason but to match salaries. You don't do that when you're avoiding the tax.

I don't remember what Les paid for the team, but I'm damn sure it wasn't even close to that amount even when adjusted for inflation.

Now someone please convince him to cash in and sell the team right now so another owner can take over.

Lakers worth $2.6B, #1 in the NBA.

It is an obvious mistake to have given up Tarik Black.

Jerry Lin has singlehandedly doubled the value of the Lakers.

Rockets would be worth $3 billion if Les and Morey retained him and gave him max $$$$$$$$$
