That is laughable, Shane does all the dirty work that Tracy can't/won't do..........

I guess some just can't see it...............

Well either way the trade was a fantastic deal in favor of the rockets as steve and cat are likely done in the nba and mcgrady is still the best performer on a contending rockets team.

injuries are the problems with this team.

    v. dallas, we had to start ryan bowen b/c juwan howard was out (and trust me, any semblance of offense from the PF position would have given us the series v. dallas).

    v. jazz, yao just got back from injury (and most like still recovering) and thus that was why he didn't dominate okur.

    v. the jazz last yr. 2 starters were out for most of the series (yao out for all) and shane and tracy played on injuries that require surgeries in the offseason.

again, health is the main problem, not talent or whatever. if we are healthy this year, we should go pretty far. that's all there is to it.

i mean, what if mobley was injured for that lakers series (and not even yao), we'd probably lose by 20 pts per game to the lakers. in that series v. the lakers, we basically had everyone play pretty good (and some above their heads).

with this group, our role players has literally played worse than their reg. season standards.

Tracy is for sure a better player, with more talent, less heart, less effort, less balls, more vagina..........

Laugh it up. I don't know why youre doubting mcgrady as a great player, but he will be proving you wrong soon.

i don't think you're talking about the playoffs mcgrady. i don't think anybody has questioned his effort in the postseason.

it's the reg. season we're all frustrated with.

i'm simply talking about the playoffs (not reg. season).

if we wanted someone to do the dirty work, we could have kept ryan bowen. we could have kept david wesley.

shane is supposed to be "better." he's supposed to be that shut down defender in the playoffs. he's supposed to knock down wide open shots in the playoffs (an upgrade from wesley and bowen).

    Dude one period is enough.

Also Shane Battier is not exactly > JJ. Look up the stats.

I do not think he is at his best in the playoffs, I think he gets tired, because
he is not used to playing hard for 48.......

He is so great that he can still put up 30-8-8 without blinking, but I think he
has looked off/tired in the playoffs recently because he plays so hard, but
is not used to having that energy ALL THE TIME..............Anywhooo, That is just speculative so need not worry about it........

Why? This is mcgrady on one knee and with one good shoulder. Why question this guy?

tracy will be tracy as we go into the stretch run. i'm not even worried about him. he'll do his usual thing.

i'm worried if rafer can sustain this level of play and shoot 40%+ every game.
i'm worried if shane battier can hit a bucket to save his life. i don't care about the diryt work. there are plenty of players who can hustle and do the dirty work.

the only role players i'm confident that will maintain their games are scola and landry b/c they're always consistent.

rafer and shane play a lot of minutes for us and they usually disappear in the playoffs.

thats one game...i could show you hundreds of videos of games where mcgrady was literally willing the team to victory and ure going to doubt him because of one game where he's injured. Thats alright i guess.

    jackson v. lakers
    14.8ppg, 10.4rpg, 2.0apg, 40% shooting, 28% 3s (a double double mind you)

shane battier v. jazz in 06-07
    10.3ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.0apg, 45% shooting, 44% 3s (you think it's good stats, but he only had 2 good games in game 5 and 7)

shane battier v. jazz in 07-08
    10ppg, 3.8rpg, 0.5apg, 44% shooting, 48% 3s (he shot well but did nothing else)

i rather have a jimmy jackson who chip in on the boards, can be another ballhandler and he played decent defense (not as great as shane, but pretty good)

but the shane this year, ryan bowen is better.
