Sam Cassell took the Clippers to the 2nd round of the players in 2006. leader. If you claim to be a 90s Rockets guy, you know for a fact there's some toughness issues with the current team. Why the hell did we bring in Ron Artest? Cause of Rafer? Cause of Yao? no.
Becase he's a good player and cost us hardly anything? yes. Ill just let mcgradys play do the talking.
should i buy 2nd round playoff tickets this year? I mean i try to buy them since Chuck left, but nobody will sell them to me.
Well, He cost us Steve Francis and Cat Mobley, and we have not been further in the playoffs since the trade.......... As for his play, well, let uss just hope he actually tries this time........ A little heart and effort would be a welcome surprise............... Which is sad.....
Just do whatever you need to do. We're all rockets fans. We all want the team to do well. I've watched mcgrady dominate too many games to just count him out because of 7 or 8 games of shotty play.
I was talking about artest......and if u replace tmac with steve and cat, we would have been lottery bound for like 4 straight years.
And you've watched him fail too many times in the playoffs as a Rocket to believe that he's the one that could put us over the top. Dominate in the playoffs is different from dominate in the regular season. As a person who claims to be a 90s Rockets fan, do you remember Dream vs the Spurs? that's dominate. not what Tmac has done in the playoffs.
Agree to disagree....... You sub Mo Taylor, Cato and Boki for Battier, Scola, Landry, Artest etc....... We have a VASTLY superior supporting cast...........
It was dominant because we won the series. And if Tmac even plays near the level olajuwon did, how is that a failure?
What the heck? Francis isnt even playing for a terrible team, and cuttino's career is over. That was clearly the right move. Its crazy to think otherwise.
he hasn't. I thought he was on his way vs Dallas in the first 2 games, but no way. that's nowhere close to what he did to the Spurs. David Robinson was the MVP and the Spurs had the best record in the NBA. Dream destroyed him and Dennis Rodman. That was their frontline, the MVP and the best rebounder in the NBA and Dream squashed them like jelly beans.
we made the right trade at the right time. I don't regret getting Tmac. I do regret some of his r****ded fans. However, he has not met expectations.
And thats why hes one of the best players of all time. mcgrady may not be dream, but seriously, there is only one dream.
I agree, dude, But you said we would have been lottery bound, In which I disagree.....................We would have a better supporting cast, and Yao is a far superior player compared to back then........ It's crazy to think otherwise.....
I agree with this post completely. Though, I'd like to add that those fans combined with the ones who criticize his every move (not you) are the reason why the idiocy level of the GARM is at an all time high.
Well, and the ***'s... They actually vastly outnumber the Tracy fanboys
I want to put this out there though: For whatever time Tracy McGrady has left in Houston, he has the chance and the skills, along with the role players to take us to the promised land. It is whether he does or not that we are unsure of. So, let's hold off final judgment on the guy until his days as a Rocket are over..
It didnt matter what kind of supporting cast we had. It would have just been the cat and steve show all day, and we all know where that takes us.
Does he have the heart? And does he give the effort? These questions cross my mind about half(more lately) the time I see Tracy play....
I'm giving props to the Yao fans, they haven't made any bad threads in along time and i think its because they've grown as NBA fans and fans of the Rockets. To me, the Tmac fans are defensive cause of the current situation and they are throwing everybody under the bus to make themselves feel better. Yao fans, you guys are alright. Just as long as you don't diss Larry Smith again.
