ive met him in person. it took everything in me not to just walk up and say "you could have been great".

i hate this internet tough guy nonsense. just because YOU never go out and get to know these people doesnt mean that all of us are like you. clutchfans and the internet are not your only source of information about the team. i think if even half the people who talk like they know something actually went and interacted with the rockets they would develop an entirely different perspective.

    /rant.

sorry, had to get that off my chest.

    really? what has he won?

since there is only winning and losing, and he definitely hasn't won anything, what does that leave?

you can make excuses all day for why he hasnt won, whether its his fault, all that . . . but the fact remains that if you take all the nba teams that have the common thread of tracy mcgrady being on the roster, and add up all the postseason series wins, you get zero.

it is an inescapable fact. the rest is all rationalization and fingerpointing.

we all know he was good.

just hope he won't hold our team back.

wafer is fearless. you love to have a teammate like that.
his aggressiveness can sometimes cover his weakness. there is only one goal in his mind: Attack. and he has the shooting skill to back it up. his jumper will get better.

tmac's problems is lack of aggressiveness, and he doesn't have the right conditions(maybe his health, if he has health problem. or his willingness.) to be at his dominating stage.

tmac looks old to me. what a pity!

That dude might not be older than 16 so you can see what he would say that. and you can't base that on all of Tracy fans.

Why not? Generalizing is the norm here. You're either a apologist or a hater.

All this video did was remind me how lame it is that in his entire career here, his only memorable moments were this and the dunk over Bradley.

    He is finished.

    Get rid of him.

I cannot blame Tracy for any problems we've had in the playoffs. His regular season numbers were trumped in each playoff series. The rest of the team chokes (Yao is not included in this) each year or we face injuries.

I can remember 40 point performances, I can remember clutch shots, I can remember defensive stops, but I cannot remember being ashamed of any full game by Tracy in the playoffs. I can list more than 12 players that had disappointing during that same span.

Sure, he's said too much off the court, but he played a step above the rest in the playoffs.

So other than this knee injury, what makes you think he's finished for his career?

"memorable" is a relative term. I can name you a whole bunch of other Tmac moments that are memorable to me. Maybe you choose to forget.

I don't know what the standard of memorability is(i just made up a word, it sounds kinda fun), but by your standard, Yao doesn't have any memorable moments either. By that standard, neither do 95% of other NBA players.

Did you not read the rest of it or you chose to ignore it? You took one sentence out and dissected it.

I was making the bigger point that if somebody doesn't win in team sports, does it make that person a losing player?

Also, I made the point that there is a fine line between winning and losing.

his determination to prove his point that Shaq in Orlando was inferior to Tmac in Orlando lasted several pages and he was passionate about proving it too

even though its a joke, it shows:
    1. blind loyalty to one player, not a team
    2. the extreme lack of nba knowledge coming from a portion of the younger fans

    explaining:
    1. I even told him "if Tmac slapped you, you'd blame your face"

    2. Not all young nba fans are dumb, as mentioned before in XM Sirius, there was some kid named Dillon who was referencing all this old school stuff, it was extremely impressive. He was talking Bad Boy Pistons to Rick Mahorn.

So I don't think the young fans are dumb at all.
Just the young fans who are blindly loyal to Tmac and not the Rockets.

Also, on NBATV, one Tmac fan compared him to Jordan and Chris Webber and Gary Payton had a great laugh at that.

But you know that for a fact that Tmac fan was serious.

If a Yao fan and Tmac fan jumped off a building and Yao and Tmac were there..

The Yao fan would have faith that Yao would try to save him by catching him.

The Tmac fan would think that Tmac would put on a cape and fly and catch him in the air. They are that delusional. Someone made a thread that Tmac made the all star team this year. you need anymore proof?

You cant determine that Shaq was better then Tracy in the time they were in Orlando, but you can know for sure that Shaq had a better team around him..
