When Mitchell was up for grabs i too wanted us to go after him... there were a lot of haters on here calling him a chucker, etc... but thats how the board is... If you want to go after the great player - well then you're unrealistic and u could never get him... If you want to go after a lower tier player - well then you get everyone telling you how stupid you are for wanting that guy because of his deficiencies... which is the reason why he's possibly attainable in the first place... lol
But Chris Paul is not a ball hog. Mitchell takes 21 shots. Giannis takes 19 shots, Jokic 17-18, Lillard 19-20, Durant 18-19. prime Lebron took 18 shots. This dude is just in love with the ball. Wants to squeeze it touch it finger it he is a creep. It turns into Mitchell and the others. I don't think he mashes well with the others. The team he's in is not a homogenous but a heterogeneous team. Oil and water Mitchell is oil and rest of the team is water. Lillard was averaging 7-8 assists a game in his prime he had more layers in his game. Mitchell averages 4-5. Lillard had more layers in his game. I really don't like Donovon Mitchell's game we should not target him. He is just give me the ball get out of the way player who plays no defense. He's a tier below Harden. We didn't win anything with Harden in that sense. I don't like him at all.
I don’t remember ever saying I think Jalen had a higher ceiling but I personally didn’t want to trade for Mitchell because we would likely have to give up to much and I don’t view him as a player that you can build your franchise around. To me he’s a very good #2 or #3 on a championship squad but as a #1 your lucky if you can win a playoff series and so far that’s been the story of his career.
