What's implicit in this type of statement is 'mgmt will not intiate a trade'; but if the super-star is fed-up, all bets are off.

That said, I'm happy with TMac.

I wouldn't. Lebron might become clearly the better player in the future, but there's no gaurantees.

Statistically, Lebron is better (mainly this year), but T-Mac still does a lot of important things Lebron can't. He's a better perimeter shooter, better defender, much more clutch, and he's just a better scorer when healthy. Imagine what a healthy T-Mac could have done this year with the new hand-checking rules if he got 32+ ppg on 46% shooting in Orlando at the age of 23 without those rules. Also, you're crazy if you think Lebron would be as unstoppable on offense in Houston under Van Gundy. He has so much freedom in Cleveland it's funny.

Either way, right now, they're so similar, why mix things up like that for no reason? Like I said, there's no one I would trade T-Mac for straight up...

IF the Wolves' GM (GeniusMcHale) were to trade KG is there any more logical destination than Bulls? I mean, who would be 2nd most logical?

He's not coming to houston unless the Rockets want to give up Yao.

It takes 2 teams to trade. Minny's not gonna take McGrady. McGrady wouldn't be on the market unless houston has concerns about hist back....no team (especially a team like Minny) is gonna take that chance. Also, Garnetts better than McGrady and is a bigman.....you dont trade "down" in talent and you dont trade a big for a perimeter player. Trading for Tmac wouls leave minny without a solid big and the same holes at other poistions (PG & C).

The rest of the roster is garbage...you couldn't pay teams to take some the crap on this team.

This kind of post makes me just shake my head in shame. Too many of the "fans" around here give up on the players they say they support way too easily.

    Jesus... Carmelo???

That's just ridiculous. I fully believe you will be denying this post ever existed by this time next year and/or eating crow by the truckload.

For real, that's absolutely shameful. Talking about Carmelo and T-Mac in the same sentence...just shameful.

    truthfully, its to be expected.

We live in a "what have you done for me lately" world. Lately, Mello has balled his ass off... while unfortunately Tracy has been at home with a bad back.

"out of sight, out of mind." Tracy's place as among the top perimeter players (yet alone top players overall) has fallen and its gonna take a bounce back year next season to regain his spot

    its not.

If they were to retire today....KG would be a hall of famer, tracy wouldn't be. These are my absolute 2 favorite players in the league so trust me when I tell you Garnetts a better basketball player.

Being unbiased doesn't mean you are right. It's an opinion anyway you slice it, and no more valid than the rest of ours.

Why would T-Mac get snubbed but KG get in? If you didn't notice, T-Mac is 4 years younger than KG.

It's not like KG exactly has all the titles to back him up though. If KG retired today, because of his failure in the playoffs, he wouldn't even be mentioned with the greats. Neither would T-Mac, but just saying.

OH and btw the Rockets WILL win a championship within 4 years, Minnesota will not. Therefore, T-Mac will have the upper hand!

COME ONE TMAC, AND YAO, AND RYAN BOWEN, BRING US A CHAMPIONSHIP.

BTW KG has the better stats but T-Mac is a better player.

yes, he would. His career is greater than Tracy's. KG's a 9 time all-star, league MVP, All-NBA 7 times (4 first team), All-Defensive team 7 times (all 1st team). Only he and bird have 5+ seasons of 20ppg 10rebs & 5ast.

He's had a far greater career. And as far as the calibre of players they are....outside of scoring Tracy doesn't do anything better than Garnett. (relative to their positions)

I'm sorry, but NBA awards are just a ridiculous way to back up a player's career. So many of those awards are nothing more than media-inspired popularity contests. For christ's sake, Kobe has been All-Defensive First Team several times, which is the biggest joke ever.

The bottomline is that Garnett is no better of a leader than T-Mac, he's too passive on offense, you can't go to him in the crunch, and he can't take over games. His strongest attribute by far (defensive rebounding) is the statistic with the WEAKEST correlation to winning. I would never take Garnett over even a near-healthy T-Mac.

All-Star are all fan based. The only one that stands out is league MVP. T-Mac has yet to do that, and to get out of the first round.

BTW Bird and KG are very similar in your comparison, but, does KG have the rings?

I feel that KG won't win a title in his career, especially if he stays with Minnesota.

With the new Yao, a healthy T-Mac has a great chance at the title, and I'm sure any Rocket fan would agree to that.

My only variable in my arguement is McGrady's health. I'm positive he'll be much better next season because this season is a complete fluke.

KG is consistent, and gets his numbers, but he can't lead in the clutch or take over games. That's what really is going to count.

Can KG do 13 in 35?

T-Mac is a scoring machine, which is proved by his two scoring-title trophys.
