Would you trade Bosh for Scola straight up?

I know I would and would not look back. It's nice that Scola is on this hot streak and all, thing is Bosh is 5 years younger than Scola and puts up vastly better numbers.

If Bosh scores 10 points everyone wonders "Whats wrong with him?" If Scola scores 10 points people will shrug and say "Maybe he'll have a better game next time."

I am not slighting what Scola has done now, but unless he just finishes off the season like this...he's just a hot player streaking right now.

Why do people underate him so much?

I doubt have the people who say they dont want him have even watched him play. The guy fits our offense perfectly.

Bosh wants to be the franchise player where the team would build around him? Guess no more, come to houston. we got all the supporting stars anyone would ask.

The writing is on the wall with ways Morey is assembling this Rockets team.

Yao is still a single important part of the team, but due to concerns with his injuries. Rockets can no longer afford to put all the eggs in one basket. Nothing to be disrecpect of Yao. Just the reality. He's still important and Adelman system and the players we have now, running is more important as part of the motion offense. I am sure Yao does't mind as long as we win a championship.

Bosh should know he is entering his prime and Yao is in his prime. Playing with Yao is alot better than alongside Wade or James.

Bosh can and should be the franchise player if he comes here.

Yao is on the decline and future is uncertain.

Bosh/Yao/Martin would be superior to any combination currently in the league right now.

Yao is not better than bosh. Bosh has been one of the most consistent players since his rookie year by his ability on the court and actually staying on it in the first place.

Why do people overrate him...wait what?!!? Why are the YOFs so buthurt about a player that is clearly better?

You can pretty much set your watch to his annual production:

    05-06 22.5pts (.505 FG% .816 FT%) 9.2reb 2.6ast 0.7stl 1.1blk 2.3TO
    06-07 22.6pts (.496 FG% .785 FT%) 10.7rb 2.5ast 0.6stl 1.3blk 2.6TO
    07-08 22.3pts (.494 FG% .844 FT%) 8.7reb 2.6ast 0.9stl 1.0blk 2.3TO
    08-09 22.7pts (.487 FG% .817 FT%) 10.0rb 2.5ast 0.9stl 1.0blk 2.3TO
    09-10 24.1pts (.516 FG% .792 FT%) 11.2rb 2.4ast 0.6stl 1.0blk 2.2TO

Oh wait how many season ending injuries does that include?

Any body that thinks Yao is better is delusional.

Bosh has scored a lot of points on a team that never progressed beyond the first round in the two seasons they reached the post season and that was in the Eastern conference and one lost was against a 7th seed Nets team.

So excuse me for not really, thinking he is the best PF in the league, because from what I've seen while he is good, it ain't exactly like he is on the path to be the next Duncan or KG. Good player but people on this board do seem to overrate him, especially if they think a healthy Bosh is better then a healthy Yao.

Wouldn't the Raptors need to have the 2nd seed to play a 7th seed?

I rather have Hill/Scola and another young big than have that Bosh guy. Seriously for whatever reason, the people on this board are enamored with Bosh and I don't understand why honestly.

what can you say about a healthy Yao before artest and brooks showed up?

    Healthy Bosh > Healthy Yao

And even then * There is not such thing as a healthy Yao!

No good player wants to go to toronto, its a matter of the city than bosh.

Great example of how Yao has been overrated, as opposed to bosh. I

would get the city of houston together to sing him a song and welcome

parade if he came here, so if you think he won't help us something is

    wrong!

After the big 3 of Garnett-Duncan-Dirk, Bosh and Gasol are the best PFs.

meh, dirk plays more like a 3 imo. Its impossible to classify him as either so i think hes a 3.5.

And garnett has fallen way off his game, i would call it Dunc-Gasol-Bosh.

Bosh is better than Garnett and Duncan at this point in thier careers. Dirk is still a machine, so is Gasol.

    Dirk
    Bosh
    Gasol
    Duncan
    Garnett

We probably can't get Bosh, but what about his clone, that kid JARVIS VARNADO, who averaged 4.8 blocks per game against good competition in the SEC. He'll probably be available when the Rockets pick in next year's draft.

Nice find! For those too lazy to click the link, here's some excerpts:

OAKLAND — It took a third loss on this trip, the second against a team going nowhere this season, to finally get Chris Bosh to blow.

Yes, The Franchise is officially pissed, and that’s not a good thing for anybody who hopes he’s sticking around past this summer.

Bosh, of course, didn’t play that card. That’s not his style, but in the wake of a 124-112 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night, the eighth defeat in the past nine games for the Raps, Bosh didn’t hold much else back.

He wasn’t throwing around theories. He was imploring everyone in a Raptors uniform to start taking this playoff thing seriously.

“Just do it,” Bosh said in an expectably quiet Raptors locker room. “Act like you care. We need to do the things that win. We don’t do the things that win. I’m going down and playing offence on their side of the court and their (bench) is louder than we are. That doesn’t make any sense. They’re not playing for anything. We’re trying to make the playoffs. We’re trying to get the fifth seed but that is, like, slipping away every day.”

Once on a roll, there was no stopping him.

“We’re supposed to be gearing up for playoff basketball and this is not playoff basketball,” he said. “Their bench is more active than ours is. They’re players are getting more stops. They’re getting more offensive rebounds. Everybody is doing everything. If you look on the schedule now and see Toronto, I’m sure people are checking the win box. I can understand if we lose a game going down fighting, but we’re not fighting at all.”

    ....................
“We’re just not coming out and playing basketball like we need to, I guess,” Bosh said. “For some reason, we just don’t like to secure leads and win basketball games. That’s the only thing I can think of. We come out here, we talk about it. We have a billion meetings, but we can talk all we want. Unless we do something about it really doesn’t matter. We’re talking about the third quarter. We talked about the third quarter yesterday. We talked about it at shootaround today and then we go out and do the same thing. I don’t know. We just lack execution.”
    ....................
As angry as he is with the current malaise in the locker room, Bosh doesn’t have an answer for it.

“I’m glad I’m not one of the coaches,” he said. “I wouldn’t know what to do, either. We changed I don’t know how many times, I don’t know how many speeches you can give. I don’t know how many lineup changes there can be. I don’t know.

“I mean, the coaches can only do so much. We have to take control of this thing because time is ticking and it’s counting down. We keep playing like we are right now and we’re going to be on the outside looking in.”

I don't know about the rest of you, but for a franchise trying to keep their franchise player, things aren't looking so hot right now. Chris Bosh is a very, very unhappy player.
