I've heard a few songs, and it's on my list.

Pimp- did you happen to catch Tesla in Austin Friday night?

Not sure if you'll find it! I tried like hell this morning.

It's a compilation given to us over the weekend by a close friend that knows the person who put it together. It's on a small indi label and I'm not sure if it's in wide release.

I'll see if I can find the label and pass it on. If not, maybe I can burn a copy and send it to you.

One of my favorite lyrics from one of the songs! I was singing this all weekend!

“Well I’ve tried em’ all and it might sound queer,
but my favorite drug is an ice cold beer!”

    :D

Haven't got a good listen to it, it's mostly been in the background. For the price (I got it for 8.99), it seems like it was well worth it though.

You're the third person I have seen list this CD in this thread. What is it similar to (band or artist wise)?

I am definitely going to get Wilco's new CD along with The Cure's new one plus Franz Ferdinand next month.

It's Scott Weiland fronting the GNR musicians. Some songs sound like Scott Weiland singing a GNR song while others sound like STP songs. Then, others don't sound like either one of those.

Seriously, someone who can answer this question better than me should. When it comes to music, I either like it or don't. I don't have an explanation for it! :D

They sound like a band with Slash playing lead guitar, Duff McKagan playing bass, Dave Kushner playing rhythm guitar, Matt Sorum playing drums, and Scott Weiland singing lead vocals.

Sorry to sound like an obvious ass, but I hate it when bands are described as a bit of Band A, with a dash of Band B, and a hint of Band C. I don't know when that started, but it's lame. Perhaps it started when all of these new bands all sound the freakin' same.

Anyway Manny, if you want to listen to a solid rock album, go out and get this. It may not be the cool album, but it's straight up rock n' roll by some straight up rock n' rollers.

Snoozefest. I'm beginning to think some other band made YHF and had Jeff Tweedy sing lead.

"Spiders (Kidsmoke)" is a stunner, though.

    "50 Greatest Children's Songs"

Featuring those favorites like, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "If You're Happy and You know It."

Try listening to that non-stop from Austin to Tyler...and back.

    Somebody shoot me.

The Los Lonley Boys was voted album of the year at our Memorial Day Weekend Party at the beach. Everybody brings their fav CD's they've bought since last year and we spin em over 3 day and nights. I think it was pretty well unanimous.

    But of course we're geezers.

    Forgot about the latest O.A.R.

Anyone ever seen them in concert? Is it worth the $26.50?

    LOL!!!

RocketmanTex! That’s what happens when a Texas friend shoves a CD in your face at 2 in the morning at a bar!

It’s not a blues compilation, well it is..but it’s not really a blues band or maybe it is?

The Asylum Street Spankers! From Austin Texas!

But you probably knew that. They’re amazing. Go to this link, the CD is “Spanker Madness!” :)

    http://www.freedomrecords.com/ruspanks.html

It’s pretty cool website for Texas music
