The entire team has been riding such an emotional high and put so much into this physically and mentally that when the bubble burst on Tues night, you had to expect a letdown on Wed vs the Hornets (I did anyways, I didn't expect the rox to win last night, especially against a really good home team, division rival looking for revenge after losing to you the past 2 times). If the Rox come out flat and get blown out in GS, then I would be alittle worried.
i feel u but we all know u cant afford to many losses in the west....and second it still goes to effort once u establish an identity in this league and play like it every night that what makes u a great team...win or lose and i was just starting to think we have one.......
All Yall T-MAC haters need to CHILLLLL. I've even heard someone here say Jordan never.... There will never be another MJ. Lebron....he can put MJ like numbers, but he aint gonna win 6 championships like Mr. Hanes. Yeah I wear it...sheesh. I think T-MAC has every right to say to the media that his teamates need to make their shots. Because THEY DO need to make their (excuse my Mandarin) ching chong wei yong puh....shots. Remember game 7 against the Mavs in the playoffs? T-Mac showed up, everyone else was bricking. It's takes 5. He'll be fine. Just watch. - Sushimaster
Finally, there's some logical people on here (granted, they're some dummies here as well). During the streak, T-Mac was the player of the week and was a vital part of this winning streak. He has TWO bad games and all of a sudden he's to blame for the losses? Please. Do us all a favor bandwagon fans, leave. Houston Rockets don't need you as fans. I swear, some people are so quick to point the finger. They just came off of a 22 game winning streak in which they played with high energy and emotionally. This was bound to happen. It happened to the Bucks and Lakers of old. If you thought they would win out the rest of the season without any letdown in their performance whatsoever, well... I admire the ignorance in your optimism. This team will bounce back and get it rolling again. I still believe in this team. Fake fans need not apply. GO ROCKETS!
The West is stacked but the Rox are going to make the playoffs barring t-mac getting injured. I don't think seeding is that important b/c every matchup's going to be tough especially without Yao. Plus the Rockets are a very good road team.
tonight I watch the lakers vs utah and saw kobe bryant clutch and fearless down the stretch that is how we all want tracy to be but unfortunately that will never happen.
That's asking to much. There hasnt been a player with as much passion and skill then Kobe since Jordan. Not even close. Thats like asking Yao to be like Shaq (prime). Wont ever happen.
Actually, Tmac also had some clutch plays during the winning streak. Interesting, you cannot see it! Accordingly, Kobe also had some unclutch play (e.g., last sunday, rockets vs lakers). More interesting, you cannot see it either
Yeah, Tracy is too busy winning to actually come back from behind. Do you realize if we enter the fourth with a lead we will probably win? I'd trade that for clutch anyday.
More like those elite superstars have something abnormal. Hmm Im curious of how Post Shaq kobe playoff stats compare to Tmacs now.
I got love for mcgrady, he is a great player. I have no ill will towards him, BUT I was really bothered when Stojakovic stole the ball and raced down the court for a layup. Tmac was right there, right at his heels, remember, this is stojakovic, not Kobe or lebron. And Tmac just let him lay it in. I have seen a hundred plays like this in which Tmac ran the ball down and blocked the guy from behind. For some reason, he just slowed down and gave it to him. As I watched the tv, all I could say was WTF? Anyway, when the team wins, the star gets the credit, when the team loses, same deal. Rox cannot lose by 20 points twice in a row !
Asking too much? Tmac's skill is already comparable to Kobe's. All we want is passion. All we want is for Tmac to truly want to win. If thats too much to ask, we need to get rid of him.
Hasnt he done that by putting up spectacular numbers this past 2 post seasons while the rest of the team disappeared? Hasnt he lead the Rockets to a 22 game winning streak which hasnt been done since who knows how long? He might not bring it on some nights and its pretty noticeble but I see the same thing in Yao sometimes. You know, the times where Yao gets pushed so far out to the high post by some guy half his size so he ends up shooting fadeaway jumpers all day against them. I just dont see the point in making Tmac feel unwelcome in Houston at this point. Does he look like he'll play harder if local fans/media bash him after 1-2 bad games when they won 22? The trade deadline is over and they are still fighting for first place.
Spectacular numbers dont matter when you disappear in the final minutes in a tightly contested game 7 (like he did against the jazz last year). Nope. Not even close. Dont forget that Yao was there for the majority of it. And all the games we won after yao were games that, in my opinion, we were expected to win. I have never seen yao look and play with the indifference that i've seen from mcgrady. So you approve of our $20 million player playing at the level of a 2nd string high school varsity player?
Hmm I just realized it's the same guy that argued for a month over that Marcus Camby topic. I forfeit.
