i agree with this post. I had the same problem, I had my hopes for greatness for mcgrady. However, he is still an excellent player and those are still rare. I am happy to have him on the rockets and support him as much as any player on the rockets. Fans need to accept him for who he is and will appreciate mcgrady alot more

Ya i sometimes want to (but can't) avoid coming to the GARM after a Rockets loss...People overreact so quickly...last week t-mac was on top of the world, and now this week, ill admit he hasnt played nearly good enough, everyone wants to trade him or just bring him down again.. We need to have the entire teams back, We are exhausted as a team both mentally and physically but they are professionals and will pull through this...some of our "fans" have given up once this season, dont make that mistake again.. great post but let me put it in perspective for u i dont think people are jumping off the bandwagon cause we lose.......we can accept a loss....and its not jumping off the wagon cuz u see things and are a little concerned i think its more along the lines of the rocks or "tmac" didnt give there all....thats all i dont think we would be in a sky is falling mode had tmac and the rocks "LEFT IT ALL ON THE COURT"........and we still lost.....we can take that...... but to put up a heartless effort and show body language as if u dont want to be on the court when the going gets tough and u are our supposed leader????????????????.......thats what gets under our skin....... so its not losing ....its how we are losing and team effort of our superstar/leader.................
I felt in the New Orleans game this was certainly true, but for the Celtics game T-mac worked damn HARD for his posessions, no joke like REALLY HARD. The defence was choking him to the point of no movement or jack up a shot. I concur with the New Orleans game he looked really flat. But the Celtics game I contest
wow .......DAMN HARD...???? i feel u but i just didnt see it i guess.........i will def look again at an archive and see if i am truly overreacting........but i could have swore i saw him just standind there arms down like....."who cares" a bunch of times.....becuz i was like what the hell is he doing!!!!!! thats why rafer felt like he had to try to take over again ala the lakers game and shot the air ball and a couple bad teardrops........ but i will check to make sure...just to be safe
Celtics game was hard, everywhere he went there was at least three people in the vicinity of his driving lane. And they would come over to help. There were points in the second half he looked like he had given up. Im not sure I got the overall impression he was getting worked over on both offence and defence
I feel u but man this is way bigger than a celtics game debate.....tmac has been playing like this for the last 3 or 4 games IMO.........so in closing i will leave it at that.........maybe celts were to much...... hell i dont even know anymore
for me I've felt its happened to him since Landry went down. I really do see a direct connection. His had to work ALOT harder for his points since Landry went down because his options in the paint drastically went down. It also coincided with three of Rafer's bad shooting games. Im not trying to make excuses for him but if Scola and Landry triggerred the streak then Landry getting injured was the beginning of our struggles. You can even see it, which games were the ones we have had problems offensively. During this streak at least.

OK. It works like this: Everyone hitting from outside= loose inside so Scola, Hayes, Harris, Landry OR ANY DAMN BODY can take passes, rebound and score... T-Mac included Everyone not making jack from outside= sagging interior defense (plenty of bodies on the Scola-Harris-Landry-Hayes combos) and DOUBLE TEAMS on T-Mac, tired or not. This has been true for the last 12 games (since Yao went down) and it will be true till WE MAKE SOME OUTSIDE SHOTS AGAIN! DAMN!
Agree. We don't have inside game so a lot defends on our shooters. If we can make our outside shoots we win. If we can't we lose cause we don't have nobody inside and it is easy to double Tracy. We just gotta make our otuside shoots and it should start from McGrady and Rafer. I really hope they will find their jumpers quickly.
It's just not that tough to see what's going on... even for the Bandwagon Fans that barely got the wrinkles out of their newly-purchased Rockets t-shirts.
If you think he's not doing it for the Rockets then you need to adjust your TV set.....Just look at the freaking record over the last 4 years with and without Mcgrady. It's staggering.
