how is that a contradiction> Mcgrady has to contribute to the team.... His role as the BEST SCORER on the team is score the most points as efficiently as possible

actually watch the replay of the game... Mcgrady had multiple occasions in the game were he was iso'd at the wing.... All he did was star at the defender, waving the ball around for 15 seconds and pass it back out.

Any hate that T-Mac gets, he brings on himself. Can you imagine Jordan saying he was tired after losing a big game? Could you see Jordan walking up and down the floor and half-assing it on the defensive end in a big game?

That makes no sense. Just because I just joined or my post # is low has no relevance of how long I been an NBA fan. How am I troll just because I think tracy mcgrady's play was very dissapointing? I dont think the guy is all that even though some people make him out to be one of the best. He is not one of the best anymore. Those days are over.

Well I guess posting over and over the same thing gloating it up after 1 loss out of 22 should do it.

Oh please stop!!!! A franchise player takes over when his team is struggling, he realizes when he needs to take over a game, T-Mac has not been able to do that, he gets paid 20 Mil(off our cap) and gets less than 13 points in two straight games????? Are you kidding me? I'm sorry but we give up a chance to have a deep bench because of T-Back, that means when our team isn't rolling he's got to turn it on. That's what great players do!!!! So sorry for calling him out......I guess you guys are used to going out in the first round. While he's on the team it's always going to happen. BOOK IT! :D

It was just one game loss to one of the best team, so there is not too much to complain about.

However, the problem is that T-Mac complained about his teammate: said his teammates "have to make open shots.", and telling ABC's Michele Tafoya in a halftime interview that he hasn't scored a point because he's "tired."

That was totally wrong. Especially telling people that he was tired at halftime. Big big mistake. Maybe you can say that after the game, but definitly not before the game was over. And in my opinion, for a true fighter, just say "I didn't play well".

And the original post also complained that "teammate didn't step up". Come on, man, it is not like T-Mac scored 40 pts but we still lost because no one else stepped up. T-Mac played a so-so game, too. So it is the whole team to be blamed, (T-Mac should take most of the part).

To me, I don't think it makes much sense to bash the team or T-Mac for just one loss after a 22 game winning streak.

But one thing for sure, T-Mac must learn not to speak negatively, never say
"I am tired" before a game is over, and never say anything negatively before the serious is over. It has big impacts on teammates' confidence.

His role is to run this team. He is not only our best scorer, but more important best playmaker and overall talent. What he was doing yesterday was a microcosm of what he has done throughout the streak...set up teammates and give the team a chance to have balance (which he did...had Hayes not missed a few wide open layups he would have had over 10 assists in limited time). Unfortunately, compared to previous games, the team was toof ar behind for him to turn it on in the 4th and seal the game. He has to make that decision sooner in the game.

Nontheless, people are putting way too much of the blame on T-Mac. The MUCH bigger concerns of the Celtics game is our lack of rebounding and player who can finisha round the rim (Landry will greatly help that cause).

I think everyone is putting a bit TOO much on Tracy's words. They are that, just words. Most people here should be oblivious to that crap by now.

He came out in the second half and helped the team win. His teammates' confidence looked just fine. And for the first half of last night's game, it looked just fine. He came out against Boston hitting something like 3 of his 4 perimeter shots if I remember correctly. The whole team failed in the 2nd half.

Come on guys and gals. The Celtics played an outstanding game. Tracy won't have games like Sunday and Tuesday all the time. He is an outstanding player, and performs more times than not...much more. Doesn't always mean points as we all know. That's why player stats are shown as averages. Tracy can go off for 30-40+. He can also have those stinkers where he scores 8.

Say what you will, I don't care what Mac says. It doesn't have that kind of affect on the team unless he's straight up dogging them. He doesn't have the personality, nor the balls to do that I don't think.

You know, if you want to dissect what he's been saying, he gives credit of the wins b/c they play as a team. The team is also to blame when they lose. Throw that 20mil a year, superstar crap out the window. He's been playing as another piece of the team ever since he came back from injury with times where he catches fire just as Rafer did vs. LA.

    everybody take a deep breath...............

we are not bandwagons becuz we say we have kinks in our armor that need be addressed.........period

hate or love it guys........TMAC IS A SUPERSTAR....AND YAO FOR THAT MATTER.......

they get the money endorsements etc and all the perks of that.......so at the end of the day guess whos gonna get blamed at the end of the day????

not rafer, scola, deke, hayes, landry, brooks, head, etc.

it will be these guys.......and t mac knows this better than we do becuz he is tmac.........

he has played like crap....no excuses for his play as of late.....i cant expect hayes or rafer to take over and will us to a win as a fan......i cant put that on them

but as a fan i can put that on tmac ot yao............we have that right

i think we alll love our rocks so everyone stop getting so personal.....especially about facts.........

bottom line if t mac hasnt had any more burden on him than any other star in this league....so he needs to play better

if he keeps up the i am tired routine and the 8 point boxscore we can mail it in right now......cuz bottomline stars lead there team and teammates

teammates dont lead stars.......hate it or love it
