However, after Sam left, he never passed the 1st round again. In fact, Sam is in Boston now because KG really wants him.

BTW, do you know Tmac's stats in playoffs? If not, you should check.

gotta admit though, for a guard, the lil guy takes a beating.
Not so much in Denver but back in Philly, hell yeah.

He's tough. He's a bball player with a football players mentality.
No doubt about that, but he does get alot of calls where as bigger players have to bleed before they get calls, and even then it's not guaranteed.

You think the Celtics wouldn't go past the 1st round if they didn't have Sam Casell? you make it seem like they need him really badly. Sure he's a nice addition but I don't think KG needs him to win a championship. You know KG always has that one teammate that he gets along with great.

yeah i know his stats, shooting like rafer in the playoffs last year was very impressive lol

The point is that KG can't even get to the playoffs with a mediocre cast while T-Mac can. Oh and the point about KG's numbers in the playoffs, well T-Mac averages the third (3rd) highest 'Career Playoff PPG' in the history of the game. Only Jordan and Iverson are higher.

Yet KG couldn't pass the hump. Somehow. Some way. Do you not agree that this is the criticism leveled at T-Mac? No matter what numbers he puts up, he never makes it to the second round. Now I'm not going to argue that, something about T-Mac is missing when it comes to the second round, it is almost as if he DOES disappear, even though he puts up the numbers.

Yeah his numbers in the playoffs have been good, but have never been enough to get him over that 1st round hump.
I personally think Tmac saying "im trying to get my teammates involved, and not scoring like before" is an excuse for Tmac. I think he is in denial of the fact that his career is declining and that he can no longer make a jumpshot..

A foul is a foul. No matter what size you are.

Why is it that you cant touch a guy on the perimeter, but as soon as you get in the paint you can push, hack, elbow and get away with it? I've seen Yao get calls for standing still with his hands up, while smaller players can literally slap someones wrist and get away with it.

I think there's no question his individual career is declining. When you lead the league twice in scoring and become the youngest player to ever do so, it's a hard act to follow. I don't think he's in denial, but he is in a new stage of his career. He's not the player he used to be, but he also doesn't have the same agenda. He has maybe three or four more shots to get out of the first round. Let's see what he can do.

He will have to revert back to Orlando T-Mac to win in the playoffs this series, because right now this supporting cast is playing like his supporting cast did in Orlando.

Your understanding or your logic has problems. Nobady argue Celtics cannot pass the 1st round this year because they has big 3 and they fit with each other very well.

BTW, I do think Sam Cassell is an important piece for them to win a ring or go deep in playoffs for this season.

Yeah what did happen to that show.

I think I can answer the question though. I think the league in general favors smaller players because they're more exciting to watch. No one wants to see Yao shoot hook shots and free throws all day even though as a Rockets fan I'd love it.

If its individual talent Tmac got all of the players Ive listed beat. He's an all around player and can create mismatches better then those player Ive named.

Its not about talent. Everyone knows tmac has the talent. He might possibly the most naturally gifted athlete the NBA has ever seen.

What he lacks is heart. Even on his own team theres several players with much more passion than tmac has ever shown.
