The Rockets are going to have to cut a quality big man, because Dream wants to play one more year.

Dream deserves to play one more year.

The organization owes this to him, but if he really cares about helping the Rockets, he would know it is time to step aside. He will go down as one of the best centers who ever played the game, but he can't help us anymore physically.

Argh... we've already been through this. The Rockets still take the cap hit if Hakeem retires. Whatever Hakeem can give us is better than nothing. We gain absolutely nothing if he retires now.

While I love Pig Miller, I don't quite consider him "quality".

The more lefties on your team, the better.
Collier is Seven Foot and Left Handed. How can you go wrong?
    Trade or bench Kenny Thomas.

    Hakeem = 2 championships.

One of the best of ALL time, he deserves a chance to go out on top.

    GO DREAM !!

Perhaps I am confused about your BBS name. Do you work at NASA?

We had 50 of these threads at the end of the season (and a bunch during it)

Dream is coming back for his final year, no if and's or but's

Other than Hakeem, where are these so-called "quality big men." Hakeem taking another scrub big man should be the worst reason for Hakeem to retire early.

Sorry, but that is not a smart idea...Olajuwon retiring...for reasons stated about 300,000 times.

.... and even if we DID have a quality big man to cut, why would we need to again???

I see nobody read the initial post, but reacted in a knee jerk reaction anyway.

The Rockets will not win the championship this year.

Dream is half the player he once was.

Every minute that Dream is on the court takes away important development time from Cato, Collier, Rogers, Thomas.

Dream has earned the right to stay, but THE ROCKETS WOULD BENEFIT IF HE RETIRED NOW.

I think Dream has done enough "for the team".
The Rockets wouldn't benefit a damn thing from Hakeem retiring now. Who are these quality big men that are going to get cut because of Dream? Name one please.

After what Hakeem has done for the Rockets, he can do whatever he wants. But he should retire, for his health benefits. Who knows, what if his breathing problem comes up again?

I certainly think that the youngsters can still learn things by playing under Hakeem. Would you say that one of the top 5 centers in NBA history has nothing to teach?

Haven, Maybe Hakeem should become a assistant coach, we could be like the Mavs and have a bunch of assistants. [IMG]

Nothing like seeing him play on the court...

besides, even if Houston loses early, I want to see them in the playoffs [IMG].

Question: If the Rockets surprise the NBA, is there any chance of the major networks picking up more Rockets games? I live in Boston during the season, so I only get to see network gamecasts.

I don't know if they can reschedule, I live in San Francisco, so I can only see Network telecast only as well.

Yes they can reschedule. They did it for Kings God knows how many times. If Orlando or Raptors suck (or anyone for that matter; except the Great Fakers of course [IMG] ), they get dropped and a hot team gets picked up.
I dont know whats up with RocketExpert. Like I stated earlier I dont think u are a expert. U hate Charles, and now u trying to diss Hakeem. Even half a Hakeem is good enough to be one of the better big man in the game.
