Well of course B-Bob -- I thought you and Mrs. Bob would get a kick out of that -- might I say you are both looking quite fetching.

Aww, the Friendo Bob -- it takes a rare breed to pull that one off.

So girls, what do you think about the hairstyle called "Dido flip" Its based on the singer, and it was popular in 2001, but what do you think?

I'm with the long-hair-is-better-on-women crowd. But I say go for it. You can always grow it out if you don't like it. I think that haircut is about personality and having met you, Shannon, I'd say that you can pull it off.

As far as the reception: $25 a head is fantastic. I think I paid $35 for food alone for my reception. And then there was the DJ and the reception housing (Ashton Villa in Galveston). I think it ended up being around $45 a head total, which I considered pretty low.

There's a girl at my workplace with that inverted bob hairstyle. She probably saw Jenny McCarthy with it and tried to copy. And she's a SUPREME B-TCH. Even before that I associated that hair style with "straight forward" women

Really, all short hair styles I either think
    - Lazy
    - Copying something they saw on someone else (though who doesnt)
    - Business minded
    - Conservative girl trying to look "edgy"

Good or bad its becoming more accepted to see women with shorter length hair. It understandable in the busy world we live in. I happen to think its more a negative, but really at bottom level requirement guys just need to see hair around neck length for the initial femme identifier. Cuz after .5 of noticing hair they're gonna glance to the same ol' other pervy parts anyways ;)

Hate to tell you this, but short hair is more work for a girl than long hair. At least I have always found this to be the case.

And meggo as far as color is concerned when I went back to natural my stylist (whom I love, did I mention that before) tried to match my roots to the color we selected. So when the roots grew out more it wasn't too much of a transition.

Now I am doing the "dark dark" look. It's practically black, which is a few shades darker than my normal hair, but I have to have it colored again every 6 weeks or so or the roots show. My hair grows really fast.

I'm not going to even begin to act like I know how I would act if I had eight kids to watch after, but my gosh is she ever the most complete b**** to Jon. My girl loves the show and I really got into it because those kids (at least what they've edited) are so darn cute, but she's really turning me off the show.

As far as her hair, sure, why not?

    Girls, two rules:

    - Most men like long hair. I do, and most of my friends do.
    - Short hair makes you look married. It just seems that once a girl is married, and especially if she has kids, it's time to chop it all off.

Those two rules in place, as a history buff who really likes the twenties, I really like this haircut. It's very flapperish, and flappers were sexy women.

For some reason, I too love long hair. My wife had hippie hair down to her waist and I just couldn't resist. (1972) She still wears it shoulder length for me.

But the truth is unless you go reverse cowgirl it always gets in the way. I always feel sorry for girls at the beach that have hair blowing across their face all the time.

Girls I knew in high school in 1970 had those short bob hair cuts. The creepy part was that they had to keep the hair on the back of their neck shaved off like the back of a guys haircut.

I need some tips on decorating the house without breaking the bank.

I got the rooms painted this weekend...in our master bedroom, it is light greenish color with white trim so I'm trying to figure out which color for the furniture will match the color.

In the living room, it is dark olive green with brown accents. Will brown or black furniture go with the color scheme?

For the game room, it is dark maroon (Aggie colors and one of my sorority colors :D ), I'm thinking of having a leather couch and standard brown bar set and a pool table.

For the kitchen, it currently is brown/white designs with white cabinets and granite countertops. We're planning to change all the applicanes to stainless steel look from white. I wonder if it will look good if we re-face the cabinets to black or your standard cabinet brown.

I remember that Hayesfan has a degree in interior design, will you give me some tips?

    Thanks!

    Aww thanks for remembering.

Let's see. I do better with pictures, but I can give some broad advice as far as matching and highlighting parts of the room.

First off in your Master, is there a lot of natural light? With a light colored wall like that you don't want to go too dark in picking out your furniture. I would suggest going with a very light wood grain or even a whitewashed headboard and footboard. If you like the look of it, a nice wicker chair with a custom pillow seat will match that really nicely... and if you don't like it, then I would go with some sort of yellow or shade darker green if you get a softer upholstered chair. Something you might want to do before you pick out anything else is your comforter. You can build a great color scheme around the colors in a comforter. Again, i wouldn't go for anything dark or with splashy print. But don't forget to think of your man, flowers aren't necessarily the way to go ;)

For the living room, with those colors you really can't go wrong as far as furniture choices. Something I learned with doing my mom's house, too much brown can be really depressing. Mix it up so that you have lots of shades. If your walls have dark brown, go lighter brown with the furniture. If the accents are lighter then a darker color for the furniture will pull them out without it being overbearing. For accents I would go with a golden color in your pillows and such to compliment the olive green of the walls.

Game room, you really can go wrong. Think like a guy and put the basics in it. As for the sofa, dark upholstry, doesn't really matter the color (though you may want to try something in the navy blue family - that could look good against the maroon if its a deep color) and make sure its comfy but not so you get swallowed in it. There's nothing more amusing than a bunch of guys looking like Molly on the Big Comfy Couch, but they won't think so. A bar is always a nice idea, you can typically get cheap Bar supplies at flea markets. Ours has a guy that does nothing but sell bar glasses and mugs. He has a bunch of "themed" ones with the Kentucky Derby and UK and Cincinnati Reds, stuff like that, so there may be someone at one close to you who does the same thing. Something I really like in game rooms is poster art. Something like movie posters if you are a fan, or sports posters, stuff like that will make it a more of an "entertaining" room than simply a game room. I am guessing this is where your big TV is... so I would go more sports themed than movie themed.

I would definitely redo the cabinets in the kitchen. I wouldn't go with Black unless you have a lot of natural light in there. You also might want to think of a color. It sounds like you have a lot of dark colors in most of the house, you may want to choose something bright for the kitchen. Yellow is overdone, but you could do something in blue family. That is really popular now and it looks good with stainless steel. If you want to stick to traditional, I would go with a dark wood stain to pair with the stainless steel... maybe a dark cherry and play off the red tones it in when you choose curtains and accessories. That also depends on what your floor is, if it's tile then you may want to consider pulling some of the color out of it to use in your decor.

Like I said, I can give better advice with pictures, but at least I can give you some things to consider. :)
