I'm not the biggest Mike James fan (especially after seeing that Youtube interview again in the other thread...ugh), but hey, if we get rid of Howard's contract, it's all good. Plus, it makes Luther Head more expendable, which, in combination with Sura's contract or so, could help us get an even better player.

So, James + decent PF or even Artest  >>>>> Howard + Head

    Good news!

It really works out better this way. It would have been great to have Mike last season, but this way we get Mike and dump Juwan's contract.

I was thinking the same thing earlier, but then I changed my mind. I think Morey's approach in trades would be to first target a player and then decide if the cost in assets was worth the benefit. In this case his target was moving Juwan's contract for at least a bag of chips and in comparison he got back a TV dinner. The point is I think Carroll Dawson/JVG had different motives than Morey/Adelman.

Hard to believe he will, but looking at the other side, getting Artest would be pretty much the same...

I am for Artest, so somehow I need to accept this trade too...

I seriously hate Mike James, hope he does help the rockets in some way

Talent-wise, we win this trade by a mile. It's almost robbery. Based on his late season tank job, Juwan clearly isn't fit to be a rotation player any more. This trade shows just how radioactive the T-Wolves consider MJ. We can only hope he doesn't dig himself in a hole here too.

Since the Wolves are in mood for engaging in bad deals, we should try to throw Lucas at them in exchange for Foye :D

its not that we are MJ lovers...its more that most of us think Rafer and Juwon... were third string players on most other teams...

not to say MJ is starter material... but if he can spell rafer for even 15 minutes that would be a godsend...

Luther can go back to just shooting 3 balls... if he dosent get traded...

Why would I? Clutch just told you I have been saying it for a while. I also told you that. If you decide you'd like ot search the boards for all the times I said it then by all means be my guest. There's no point in me doing it. I know what I said and it was confirmed by the site administrator.

I understand James is a Rocket and I hope he does well. He just wasn't my choice.

Oh, I didn't need your job resume or your sad life story either. I really don't care. I feel bad for you but there's nothing I can do to help. Good luck

Me too. James is career backup undersized scoring guard. He shows fire and energy on the court but his attitude is more of arrogance. The other question is if James is of any good, why he is constantly on the trading block. Another version of Jim Jackson I guess. If Mike James had problem playing along with Kevin Garnett, then he will has problem playing with anybody. I dont see him finish his 3 years contract in Houston.

He isn't your choice doesn't mean he is not a good fit for Rockets...

Personally, I highly doubt James will be the answer for the Rockets if we really want to have a championship team, and I do believe management knows that too. But the thing is, you do what's right for the moment..

Getting James is the right move and a good move to make at this point of time, especially at just the cost of Juwan Howard. Another thing lots ppl might neglect is, by obtaining James, many of our current guards became expandable, which would give us much more tradable assets and options to acquire a better PF or even a better point guard..

We'll see. I hope he is.

Our guards very already available in trade regardless of it was James or another pg we got.

Time will tell if it's the right move. For the T-Wolves, trading MJ was addition by subtraction. I hope we don't end up in the same boat with him next summer. Dumping Juwan and his contract is good but we already know he is a positive in the locker room. Hopefully Mr. Flako won't become a nuisance to the other players.

I honestly can't believe he would do it again. Like I've said, not getting along with KG and TMac combined with his attitude was what turned me off from him. Personally, he's one of the nicest guys you could meet.

People here think I hate the guy and that's not true. I just didn't like him for this team and I was really turned off by his attitude. I was admittedly also hoping for Francis to make it back here. I know his whole attitude and situation would change if he was here. Steve never wanted to leave and has always wanted to come back. He still has that talent, he could have been a real steal. Plus, he's no more of a risk (less in fact IMHO then James).

That being said I hope James works out really well. I want us to win a championship. Like I've said all along, I want the James who played for Detroit. If we get that I'll be really happy

I don't think Mike James for Howard is enough to get us into championship consideration. But if we could add Barnes with the MLE or another athletic 4 (even on the small side) I'd really like make up of the lineup.

We need more team athleticism and more versitle offensive players. Mike James really helps.
