For people who wear contacts

Did that just last week. The burn!

 

When you get an amoeba infection you can see them swimming around in your eye before you go blind.

 

I have never heard that it is not OK to shower while wearing your contacts.

 

We hate you.

 

I wear my two week set for like 4-5 weeks, I rarely clean them, I sleep in them and shower, I rarely even take them out.

Same. Also you know when people borrow your contact solution without asking because they scream bloody murder.

 

I'm a ~15 year contact lens wearer (mostly RGP... switched to soft recently out of curiosity but switched back). Rarely clean my contacts, often sleep in them, up until recently always showered with them on, never had an infection. I guess I should consider myself lucky.

 

I've been wearing them for about 11 years now. I don't have any complaints. Well, the only thing I hate is when I wake up I'm blind and I have to spend about thirty seconds putting them in.

 

The only time I can wear them is if I am playing sports otherwise they irritate my eyes too much.
