You and RD should be put into the same asylum. You could comfort each other while undergoing treatment. People like you need not wonder why others pile on V-Mac when he plays like trash. If you guys would stop blowing his horn ad naseum when he doesn't play and stop making him all-world when he plays 4 minutes without a TO, he wouldn't be subject to so much grief after games like last night. It isn't that people hate HIM. They are really responding to people like you and RD. If you don't want to hear flak about V-Mac, just shut up about how great he is and people won't explode back on you when he's garbage. Your perspective about the V-Mac debate is so warped it's beyond reason.

BTW, forgive me if you are joking.

Thanks for your concern, Mrs. Spanoulis. If only you'd taught your son not be a turnover machine, he might be getting some PT.

They showed JVG yesterday after Vspan's 3rd turnover against the Spurs bench and you could tell he was ready to crucify Vspan. I really really root for the guy when he comes in. But he does not take advantage of the few opportunities he gets.

All I gotta say is 12 minutes, 3 turnovers against San Antonio. There's also the fact that he got 1 point and no assists, but I know all you major V-Span supports will point to the idea that he's playing at the wrong position (despite the fact that he was drafted to be a combo guard). It may have been garbage time, but you know what its not like players just turn the ball over more during garbage time, SA had their scrubs out there too and V-Span still managed a turn over every 4 minutes. Someone pointed out that players like Magic Johnson had a lot of turnovers, all I gotta say is if you're comparing V-Span to Magic, you're kidding yourself. This guy is not ready for prime time.

Ack... I was wondering why the heck I was seeing Luffy1's trash, and then I realized that I wasn't logged in so my ignore list wasn't active.

The thing with vspan is that he knows he gets very rare opportunities but those opportunities matter. every time he gets on the court he looks like a kid with a new bike. so eager to take it for a spin he keeps falling down. it's true that you have to bring you a game when it matters and with NBA you should be ready to fire at any moment. Vspan needs to work with the team in the offseason to get in the groove and become more of a team member. not just the ethnic guy who sits in the end of the bench talking with the other big ethnic guy.

The big ethnic guy has moved on already to playing regular minutes for the team in non-garbage time.

Sad times indeed in the life of a V-span :(

Just look at Boki now that he has a coach that is willing to let him play. Boki is blowing up.....

V-Span will be better than Boki if given the chance to develop. He has the better mindset the chip on his shoulder and has good BBall instincts.

Yes, he will make mistakes as he adjusts, but his creativity is something this team DESPERATLY needs.

We should have kept Boki....let's not make another mistake by watching our draft picks blossom elsewhere.

VSpans patience may be tested soon. He may be put on the inactive list when Bonzi comes back, if that happens he won't even get garbage minutes. If he doesn't play another minute the rest of the season, you have to think he'll head back to Greece.

I wouldn't call 8.1 PPG blowing up. If we have to wait 4 years for V-span to get that much production in, I'm passing right away on this experiment.

Check out his last 5 or 10 games

14+ppg...if you include the 21 tonight....but just watch him play, he is not forcing it anymore, you can see he knows he belongs and not only that, can PLAY well in the NBA.

Top 10 plays on ESPN today...Boki's MONSTER dunk over Dalambert....number 1.

Boki should be doing this in Houston, if he would have gotten some time and a coach that is willing to develop him....but NOOOO, we gave him away for peanuts....

The trade was Jim Jackson for David Wesley and we tossed in Boki to make the salaries match basically because JVG and he had a fight about PT....sound familiar?

Yeah, Houston needs to wait four years on V-span just to see him play with "ease" and give us highlight reel-passes.

I'm not going to mention how non-logical (illogical? un-logical? eh.) it is to compare Boki and V-span just because both are Euros who've played for the Rockets, but even then...if V-span does do a "Boki", I'm still not intrested.

V-span needs to develop NOW. Or next year. Either way, close to NOW for him to be of any use.

Clearly, none of us can see into his future. I wish him the best of luck when it comes to that.

All we can truly see RIGHT NOW is his present state.

    Which really really sucks.

Neither Rudy nor JVG gave Boki any playing time because he wasn't any good. If he's finally developed into an NBA player, great for him. Sometimes it takes a while for a player to get it going and "opportunity" has nothing to do with it. Personally, I'd take Tracy, Shane and Snyder over Boki any day of the week. We don't need him.

You reap what you sow......if you want your rookies to develop into solid NBA players, you have to actually PLAY them...ala Manu Ginobli and Tony Parker in San Antonio.

A coach that is willing to live with a few mistakes, realizes that at the end of the day, or year, his team will be better overall for developing them.
