OP....totally different circumstances than back then...not even close. We had a pretty low seed and we were counted out by many so called "experts", but we proved their asses wrong and dominated the allegedly "better" teams. We had already experienced being the champions the previous year and used our experience and team work to get the job done. This current team hasn't won or proven jack and tends to crumble when the pressure mounts.
To accuse a team of "crumbling" when it's on track to be a 55 win team seems a bit ridiculous. Given that last year was our ONLY play off series against a MUCH better team with far more talent, and we didn't have Dwight in the line up, I think at this point the most you can say is that we do not know how they'll handle play off pressure with the current roster. The record at this point is incomplete. And until we see more from them, any judgement of the team's character just seems silly to me.
Let me clarify my statement. I don't put too much weight on regular season games. I'm talking about the playoffs. I could care less if we had 80 wins if we still got bounced in the 1st round of the playoffs. I am talking about our current team, but also I'm talking about the ROX in general. What is it....15 out of the last 16 seasons or so....we haven't gotten past the 1st round. Let that sink in for a moment and understand my frustration and negativity.
All but 2 players weren't on 14/16 of those seasons. I get the frustration, but that's like accusing the Clippers of crumbling because the teams that came before them couldn't get the job done. Different team. Different players. Or to steal the cheesy marketing line, "Welcome to the New Age."
remember when all the replies in this thread started with "remember when" and ended with "lmao"? how f***ing lame was that? LMdrunkFAO
