For all of you who said "F*** the NBA"...

I'm supposed to be watching the NBA in 30 minutes.

 

Tell David Stern, the owners, and the players I said **** them!

 

I am not missing it at all. I just decided to watch more NFL.

But I haven't been watching much NBA ball for years. Grew tired of the superstar calls and all that. But I was/am looking forward to seeing the McHale era Rox.

 

Yeah, it's not like Jordan was ever officiated like a superstar in the 90s...

 

Did not make that argument. He was and I didn't like it then. I just really grew tired of Stern altering rules and loosening officiating to promote the new crop of stars.

 

I don't miss it at all.

 

I'm actually a little relieved. I have time to do homework and stuff...... fml.

 

I enjoyed watching the recent rugby world cup. France were cheated out of a win by the ref in the final.

 

On one hand...I want to see the Rockets...

on the other hand...I want the NBA to get its house in order.

 

Saying **** the NBA is geared more towards **** the situation that is going on.

Doesn't mean people don't care about it.

 

no biggie, college hoops start next week. that will fill the void

I miss it... Hockey isnt my thing

based on all the grief the rockets management has brought me recently, i may actually need a break. I really don't care about the other teams tbh.

I would probably watch about 60 regular season Rockets games this season (attending somewhere around 5 if I can afford it) if we weren't locked out, and maybe 10-15 more NBA games the Rockets aren't involved in. So, sure there is an entertainment void. (I watch less than 5 hours non sports TV a week).

However, even before the work stoppage....refs blatantly manipulating outcomes, the fact the first 42 minutes of about half the games are essentially meaningless, then the 6 minutes of endgame that do matter are interrupted by 8 timeouts and take about 45 minutes to get through. Sort of is starting to sour me on the sport.

Don't get me wrong, if they get their crap together I will still watch...but it will be fewer games. And unless the Rockets improve I don't see myself at the Toyota Center, you could stand up and cheer now if you weren't all schmoozing in the bars, tomb much at all for a while.

 

I miss it! I need to have that perfect balance of basketball, football and soccer so that I can truly be happy.
