    Payback? We whipped Mexico good last time we played them in the WC. We also tend to do better than them in international competitions - like the win vs. Spain in South Africa

    From a respect point of view, the US team is definitely held in a higher regard than the Mexican team internationally

    :D LOL!That's a GREAT joke, man! I got it! :D Wait... you're being serious? Do you mean you asked EVERYONE outside the U.S. if they respect the U.S. more than MEXICO? No?Is that how you deducted the U.S. is better than MEXICO in International Competitions?

    Confederations Cup Champs: 1 Mex, 0 U.S.A. (got close this year! But close doesn't count, sir.)
    World Cups: 0 Mex, 0 USA <- Hey, we're even.

    Respected WHERE? Can you say World Cup play? Your "respected" USA has finished in the following places in the last 5 world cups: 23rd, 14th, 32nd (WTF?), 8th (yay! they beat Mexico to advance to quarterfinals after only winning ONE game in group play!) and 25th (WTF? Only ONE legitimate goal produced?). Mexico has advanced to the next round in the last 4 (was banned in Italy '90) World Cups.

    When you get invited to Copa América, you're South America's practice squad.

    Respect, huh? :confused:

    Ask everyone around here if they value the FIFA "ranking" as much as you think they might. Those that give a darn about their national team will tell you they don't care about that silly ranking table. We stopped talking about that a while back, when we wouldn't beat you at all. Well, NOW, if it is your own team on top, NOW you value it very much, don't you? ;)

    I know the rankings are crap and based upon like 8 years of tournaments etc...it is a very inefficient system.

    But if it comes down to meeting Mexico in the WC....put it this way....I ain't scared, and the US would be favored for a good reason.
