Of course, Argentina resting starters means they sit Higuain, Tevez and trot out Diego Milito and Kun Aguero

I think South Korea (despite their weak showing today) should be able to beat Nigeria.

Man these African teams suck this year.

sure looked offside. Portero should have grabbed that crap.

By the way, the greek public is really ungrateful. Rehhagel led them to a sensational European championship in 2004 and without him, they wouldn't even be at the world cup. Yet, after they lose one game, they blame him and want to get rid of him, etc., instead of realizing that they just don't have the players. Kind of reminds me how they blame everyone else in Europe for their financial crisis instead of being grateful that they are getting bailed out.

Samaras was in offside position, but he was not involved in the play, so it doesn't matter. Clean goal.

Amazing how good the keeper played and now this mistake.

Nigeria making Greece look like Brazil. Pathetic display of football.

What's the tie breaker for advancing out of group? Goal difference or head to head result?

    Thanks.
Then Hellas will play a "300" in the next match against Argentina, which probably
is going to tango through and rest all the stars.

Argentina won't rest their stars. If Greece beats them and S. Korea beats Nigeria, everyone would have 6 points and it would come down to goal differentials. Argentina does have the advantage because of today's goals but I'm sure they'd rather get in outright by beating Greece (or at least tying).

So Ghana and Ivory Coast have been terrible? Not sure what you've been watching.

South Africa have been slightly better than they were in previous years(still not saying much).
Nigeria have been , Let me just keep shut up before I unleash two pages of expletives at everyone from the federation to the coaching staff to the players.

Algeria have played like North African teams usually do at the WC. (That may be a bit unfair since they've only played one match but we'll have a better idea of them by tomorrow).

Ghana is ok, at least it looks like they are giving it their all unlike another team (cough coughNigeria).

South Africa tried but they just don't have the talent

    Ivory Coast looked good.

    Algeria looked average at best.

As for Nigeria. The coach is garbage, the players are garbage, there is zero chemistry... probably the worst Nigerian team i have ever seen, i mean where the hell was their midfield? South Korea should be able to destroy them.

Cameroon is the only African squad that has really disappointed (and that was only in 1 match), the rest have pretty much played like you'd expect.

Good luck Swoly and David and all the other Mexico fans. I'm rooting for you guys.

3 of the four players in the defensive line are playing in the Dutch league
