"Samba" Brazil (2006 WC team) made great commercials. This year's edition of "boring" Brazil will make it further in the cup. I know which one I'd choose...
Alexis Sanchez from Chile has been great to watch. Extremely low center of gravity (5'6), powerful, light footed, deft passes, fast and good vision. He could be the breakout player of this World Cup. He's only 21 so I'd love to see him in Europe. Chile have played the most visually pleasing football of any nation, along with Germany, although the Spanish are still to come.
This is an interesting group. 3 Spanish speaking countries from 3 different continents...and Switzerland.
SHOOT THE F***ING BALL! Spain is trying to do too much and making this much more difficult than it needs to be. Villa should have just shot it and not gone for the cheeky chip across to no one. Another underwhelming 1st half by a favorite. Hope the 2nd round of games are better. This has not been the best soccer to this point in the tournament. Blame it one what you choose, but it's been a little disappointing to see such poor play.
LOL @ the Super Powers of football who can't deal with other teams' defenses stepping up... Argentina England maybe Serbia Italy now Spain Throw Mexico vs. R. South Africa in there if you want. Brazil and Germany probably the only exception. Don't you agree?
It's hard to play against teams that consider a 0-0 game a Victory!!! Brazil, Argentina and now Espana is having trouble with these wussies that don't even try to play offense! Torres in the second half will make them pay.
Germany is the only exception. Brazil should beat N. Korea by much more than 2-1. N. Korea should never be in that game. I won't blame Mexico for having a difficult time against RSA in the opener. That would have been tough for anyone in that situation. We'll see how they do tomorrow against France. I'm actually pulling for Mexico for probably the first time ever. I don't want to see France get out of the group.
