Believe it or not, Telemundo sometimes has CC3 in English but I don't know if they had it for this game... I think you and 3 other people in the entire United States would use that. :p

I don't think Univision will do that for the 2018 or 2022 games...

    Again, I think U.S.A. should go for the 2022 Cup. 11 (players) x 2 (teams) = 22
Unless you're South Korea's team, then the ref is in your team.

Man I can't wait. I want this month to go by sooo fast.

WC, and then even closer to the NFL season.

I think that's US Soccer's real goal. They're putting in for 2018, but FIFA has all but given that to England...or somewhere in Europe at the very least. I think the US has a very good chance at winning the '22 Cup over Japan, Qatar, and Australia.

But will the world be happy if they give it to English speaking England and then somewhat English speaking America?

    FIXED?

You mean, like they did in '82 (Spanish speaking Spain) and '86 (somewhat Spanish speaking México)?? ;)

Or it could be like when they gave it to Argentina in 78, then mother country Spain in '82?

That would be cool. It would be like also giving it to Brasil, then Portugal (mother country).

That's why I fixed yer post, you ethnocentric yank. :p You're welcome.

Anyway, it's up for grabs in 2022 and Mexico will be in the bidding. USA will be fighting to get it again with another AMERICAN country with the right infrastructure. I'm talking Argentina, Colombia, or even Canada. Seriously, do you think USA will get it TWICE before any other South American or even a Central American country gets it? It's doable, but I think it's a bit ambitious and even unfair on the part of the U.S. and A.

Brazil gets it in 2014. I don't believe S. American nations are eligible in 2022. What Central American country really has the infrastructure w/o putting in a dual bid?

^ Well, then, to apply fairness, I believe it should go to Australia or somewhere in Asia in 2022 but not North or Central America. I knew about Brasil in 2014 already... I can wait for Mexico or USA in 2026. We won't be here by then, anyway... ;)

I thought Mexico's football people supported USA's bid?

It was in Asia in 2002. Is it more fair to give them 2 within 20 years while it will have been 28 years since the last in N. America?

Here's some of why the US will get it in 2022...

    1. Infrastructure is already in place. No stadiums have to be built, though new stadiums built for possible NFL teams in LA, Minneapolis, San Francisco, and others would be considered.

    2. No government money needed for #1.

    3. 1994 was the first to completely sell out all tickets AND have every seat actually filled.

    4. They've already booked the hotel rooms, training sites, and possible base camps for both 2018 and 2022.

What other country can say they have 1, 2, & 4?

And most importantly, they'll make the most money in the US. No other country has as many huge stadiums as we do. Most countries have a few 40K stadiums and a couple of 60K stadiums and maybe one 100K. In the US every game would have at least 60K. More seats = more money. And that is what FIFA is worried about.

^ Wow, I hadn't even thought about that, but you're right.

In contrast, Estadio Azteca is more than 100K in capacity, but I can $ee why FIFA would rather have it in the U.$.

It's a shame Chivas is getting a new stadium and they're only seating 45k. What a waste.

Yeah! 'Cuz it's so easy for ALL Mexicans to be here. ;)

    Kam vs. Swoly-D.

Kam is the kicker. Swoly-D is the goalie. It's a kick-off. Who would win?

I'm not the kicker. I'm the player taking the penalty.

I think we should all go to swolys part of mexicotown in Katy and play Americas game.
