Poor decision by ref. Yellow card at most.

Terrible red card there.....the ref needs to think a little more before tossing out a red.

Ridiculous...probably just doomed himself to group play only.

That's ****ing harsh. Not a red card, and Cahill is gone next game so Australia's hopes of advancing are now gone.

I'd love to have shares in the first oil company to prospect this refs head. deadset, its the worst slick since....well, ya know!

    We're screwed!

By the way if Kewell wasnt fit enough to start this match, he should not be in the squad!

Should have been a yellow, but he could have gotten a yellow just before against Lahm as well.

Philip Lahm before the World Cup: "This is the best National German line-up i've ever played for."

Ballack would be out of place on this team.

Tough luck for Australians and Cahill. No one will feel sorry for you at the World Cup though.

    Good game from Germany.

Germany has a ton of players that are naturalized or dual-citizenship.

Frankly, I think the South Americans are the only ones who don't do this yet.

    Quite commonplace.

I have never witnessed a world cup butt kicking like this. This could be 8-0. Germany's passing is really impressive. It looks like Germany is putting on the brakes now.

The only one that didn't grow up in Germany is Cacau (from Brazil). He's been in Germany for like 11 years already, though - I really like him - very intelligent guy who picked up German really well and is very articulate (and a good forward, too).

They always have........Podalski is from Poland I believe.....

And if Klose knew how to use his feet, he would have had 3 or more from passes from him.

    You're joking, right?

They're going to score more. There are 10 minutes + to play some more football. These dudes don't rest.

Klose's polish too, and I think Mario Gomez is naturalized too.
