Sorry didn't mean to have Rooney up there alone. I do agree on the 2 striker approach but they have to get Rooney on some nice runs to break down the defense. If they do bring the other two guys on the wings they will be seriously much stronger.

Milner should be sitting and Wright-Phillips should be in his spot for sure. As soon as he came into the game he made an impact and started pushing up the field quickly.

Same here. I watch on Univision unless something has to be explained, and then I switch over to ABC.

If you understood what they were saying, you would be cracking up.

I need to start writing some down, way better than any drexlerism. I think one of them earlier in the game said something about a player kicking the ball but he compared the ball to the head of a dragon and the player kicked it so hard that you could see the fire coming out of the dragon's mouth.

It is, but the round robin concept dictates this is a great result. This was the one game I thought we were probably going to lose, meaning we'd have to absolutely win the next two. This puts us in great position to advance to the knockout rounds.

England is a team that many tabbed to win the whole World Cup and for us to be even with them in the only game we'll play, that's wonderful.

Probably the only US player who could start for England is Howard...but he is definitely the X Factor!

Good game. 1-1 ...I'll take it.

Nacogdoches, Tx's Clint Dempsey with the lucky goal. :)

    Howard had a nice game.

Altidore was sooooo close to making it 2-1...off the post. ugh.

He has to carry the US team on his back for sure. If we can just have the other guys step up a bit we can put some nice games.

Robert Green is filing papers for US citizenship right now in case he gets deported out of England for costing England 2 points.

The US owes him big-time for that gift.

The USA is really a much better team now with all of our top players playing overseas in the top professional leagues.

I really wish Donavon would have stayed with Everton, he is magic with great players around him.......

The USA can not afford to take Slovenia or Algeria lightly, we should beat both...but another draw really hurts us.

I am kind of hoping that Algeria and Slovenia draw in the AM tomorrow just to stay even.

A Draw for them would definitely be a good outcome for us in the long run.

Yes, a draw between those 2 would be ideal, don't want to end up buggered by some chicanery.

foiling Messi for the entire game should earn him some sort of lifetime achievement award.

Reminds me of another Nigerian that was good at keeping people from scoring.
