    the ref who is going to do the inaugural game is Ravshan Irmatov he is from uzbekistan, and its going to be his first world cup game but he was named The Best Referee in Asia in 2008 and 2009, and he was selected to officiate the final match in the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup.

    There are 2 mexican referees: Armando Archundia is going to ref the Italy-Paraguay game and Marco Antonio Rodriguez is going to ref Germany-Australia

    Dunga has a definite preference for tactical players with less flash. Seems like more of a "style over substance" approach. I'm not saying I think they should have been left off that seems to be the general consensus as to why it happened.

    FIFA WORLD CUP events on ESPN start Thursday, June 10th, at 1 p.m., with the kickoff concert... all events are free on ESPN3

    Good stuff. I read this on ESTO's page: http://www.oem.com.mx/esto/notas/n1662810.htm a couple days ago. He was the referee in the MEXICO vs. GAMBIA game in the Under-20 games in 2007.

    Like I said, OPENING GAME REF is one of the most difficult jobs to ever do. :eek:

    Those of you close to The Woodlands, the new and improved Greek Tony's Pizza is having watch parties. They're still in the same strip center at the corner of Sawdust & Budde, but they moved 2 doors down to a bigger spot.

    People have been posting/liking this video all day on Facebook and i'm sorry to say but it doesn't move me or whatever even an inch.
    I actually find it pretty r****ded and facepalming, especially when Shakira tries to speak in the native language of SA..

    I agree, fredv. I had never watched it until today, and I just posted it because of my story above it. The chills I got are from the highlights, not her singing.

    DaDarkOne, that has NOTHING to do with the World Cup.
