The refree is whipping out the cards left and right but he is not getting them right. There should have been two clear red cards in the first half. And it wasnt like he wasnt in the picture. It happened right in front of the ref. He is capping off a perfect disastrous performance by the refs in this world cup.
I think he is doing an excellent job, he is trying to let the players play and decide the cup on the pitch. He should tell them "NO MORE" though....... DD
Trust me, if he's in space, he is deadly. Like TMA said, he tends to flop a lot on the ground. That's what really frustrates me about him.
I am not saying he is slow, but I don't see him running BY people, I think he is more quick with the ball, than fast on a dead run. Anyway, I like him, he is a great player, and yes....I hate the flopping....again, if players stopped the kicking it out of bounds and did more of the play on when there was no whistle, all those guys would start playing though those kicks. I agree that should have been a red card, but I would hate to see 10 v 11 in the WC final....so he erred on the side of caution and gave a yellow. DD
It's all about intimidation. Since the Duche can't keep up with the Spanish midfielders they'll just "send a message". It's slowing the pace down too. I think The ref will give a red if this continues.
Jeesus Christ. I think I am gonna switch of the TV. He might just reach outside my TV and hand me a card.
Holland should all dive holding their knee in grimance at the same time to send Spain a message. :grin:
