He was ready for it, he just misjudged it and went the wrong way. Once you have your momentum going one way it's tough to stop and go the opposite direction.
I just looked at the super slo mo on the DVR. Looks like the curve confused the keeper cause he took his first step to the his right.
No... You should watch the replay. The ball appeared to be headed for the far post then changed direction midair. The keeper had started off to his right and couldn't recover in time. It was simply a sensational goal.
