Osorio needs to be taken out. Higuain is eating his lunch and he has made too many mistakes. He gave away too many and missed that header.

It's not only the Mexicans who lose their cool when losing. Seems to me that this is the first world cup in ages where Uruguay doesn't get red cards left and right (actually, I think they got one for a player who was only on the pitch 20 minutes or so, in their first match), and I distinctly remember Argentinian players kicking German players brutally and getting two (?) red cards when they realized they were being completely dominated in 1990.

Oh, and the Argentinians also started a fight after we eliminated them at the last world cup.

Argentina is the dirtiest most disgusting group of players I've ever seen. They're damn good, but they're easily the Utah Jazz of soccer. Cheating, take cheap shots, starting fights, god I hate them. I hope Germany crushes the living $h!t out of those thugs in the next round.

Since my team lost in EXTRA time in the round of 16, they technically went further than yours, right?

    So, I win the bet?

A team scores about 100 pts a game in basketball. A team scores ~2 goals a game in soccer (if they are lucky). In terms of the advantage gained, 50 pts is the equivalent of 1 goal.

The reason for this is that there is more of a luck factor in any low-scoring game (similar effect you see in baseball), not because the advantage created is less. (Because of high scoring, the team that plays better almost always wins in basketball or US football. A team in soccer could outplay the other the vast majority of the game, but a lucky goal could win it for one team or the other.)

Charlie "Luis Scola" Tevez with 2 goals so far.

It will be Germany vs Germany light in the next round.

So many Germans immigrated to Argentina about...oh 65 years ago or so...
