Ah no worries, England will take care of that tomorrow. :)

I agree as well, I did think the US would beat Ghana and lose to Uruguay but what gets me is the number of US soccer fans I talked to that still though the US would walk over Ghana-despite what happened in 2006! I was incredulous at some of the comments. I'm sure this US team didnt underestimate Ghana and I think Bradley sr isn't the type to underestimate any team(He doesn't seem to have the Bruce Arena arrogance, more like a quiet confidence instead).

Oh well, who else is rolling w/ me on the Mexico will defeat Argentina train? Everyone, someone, anyone??

(I'm guessing US supporters will be hoping Messi and co. send Mexico back home quickly  ).

Another sad aspect of this is the potential parties for each of the remaining games are all gone down the drain.

Yeah i'm expecting England to go down too, honestly even if they were playing at their best I don't think it'd be enough to see past Germany at the moment...and Rooney has the WC jitters or something. At least the two games I've seen (didn't see the 3rd as obviously USA was playing at the same time) and he was not impressive at all. At least England shouldn't be starting Heskey anymore.

No, i'm going for a Argentina/Brazil matchup. I guess upsets like that are always fun though but i'm a Messi fan so it's not something i'd like to see personally.

You just need to look at some of the comments on here before the match. You would have thought Ghana was some amateur team and the US was gonna just roll past them.

Out of the top 3 Argentina have had it pretty easy so far with one of the easiest groups, Greece, Nigeria and Korea. Mexico is a small step up but Argentina is yet to be tested like Brazil with both Portugal and Ivory Coast, or Spain with Chile and Portugal next.

I am stilled soo bummed about this result. We really had a chance at this one. Ghana showed they had little (to no) class by wasting time in the last minutes of the game, but we never should have been down 2-1 in the first place. We as a nation need to cultivate the idea of soccer more so. The only silver lining in this is a good chunk of this team will come back, but pieces that won't (ie a Landon Donavon) are going to be hard to replace. I just can't wrap my head around this one, we were so close. I feel like I did last year when we lost to the fakers...

Ghana has no class??? Sorry but if the situations were reversed and the US was the one stalling you'd be on here defending it til the end.

Ghana is better than the USA and that is why they won.

The USA was just happy to be there, the team and the nation was celebrating beating Algeria like they won the entire thing. I may be wrong but I doubt there were any Ghanaian players crying after making it to the knockout round like Landon Donovan did.

Wasting time is classless. regardless of who does it. Ghana dove every 30 seconds, flopped like a fish out of water, and spent more time on the ground than actually playing near the end. I didn't say Ghana wasn't better, I said they had no class. Kobe Bryant has no class, it doesn't mean the dude can't dominate. Go back and watch the footage from the game, from the 60th minute on, every single time there was a collision or a foul a Ghanian player would be riving on the ground acting like he was stabbed. That is classless. Whenever the US players got knocked down they got right back up.

Well just got back from Texas wine country with my wife.

We watched the match from a bar in Fredricksburg, the better side won.

The USA had more chances, but just had really poor finishing, too many shots right at the keeper, all some of them had to do was look up and pick a spot, instead they all powered it right at the goal.

    Bradley's shot was especially bad.

So, good job Ghana, you deserve to move on...the USA has to work on developing some one on one finishers.

Oh, and Altidore is just HORRIBLE with the ball at his feet he has no one on one skill at all.

Nope. Not like that. Poor sportsmanship is not cool no matter who does it.

 Why would CONCACAF supporters NOT want the last team representing us to stay in the tournament...? You know? I was happy we had 2 teams from North America stay again. This time, it could have been a showdown in the final... I was hoping for that, at least.

    ¡Vamos, MÈXICO!!!!!

I'm not cheering for the lakers or mavericks or jazz or spurs because they're in the west.

The hell would I want to cheer for Mexico?

Heartbreaking game today. Really wish we could have advanced. USA is the better team, although on this particular day Ghana played better. There were some classless maneuvers from Ghana near the end though, but nothing that made a big difference in the outcome.

Will be rooting for England for the rest of the tourney now.

Dude, they brought us restaurants like Taco Bell, Taco Cabana, and even Los Betos. You can't think of chips without instantly thinking of salsa. Mexico has given us so much of our culture today, supporting them, is like somehow still supporting us in our own dream.

Let's do this for the red, the white... and the green. Glacious.
