Would it be possible to change that to our national anthem? We need to somehow add "Rocket's red glare" in there, but all in all that would be epic to play at all our sporting events and people could easily sing along.
I really don't know Donny, but I don't believe Hockey has ever had the same level of world wide impact as the World Cup. DD
Err... well yeah. It's a fairly inaccessible sport to most countries that aren't wealthy and don't have a crapload of cold weather. But anyway, i'm not concerned with world-wide impact... I'm only looking for stateside ramifications
As far as I recall, from my standpoint as I was only about 16, I got interested in it a bit more, but not to where I was a rabid fan...I still like Hockey, and my dad had season tickets to the original Houston Aeros of the WHA....but don't follow it as much now...just from the sidelines and Olympics. I have no idea if it had an impact on USA fans....overall. DD
USA has such an easy path to the semi-finals... Ghana and Uruguay? Not saying guaranteed victories but I'll take those two teams.
American Outlaws are hardcore. I watched the US/England game with them, let me tell you, it was just like all the vids that have been posted, complete with the staggered Standard Def second early celebratory screams/jumps. I'll be watching with the Houston group again this weekend. Gonna be awesome.
Everyone is underrating Uruguay, they are very strong. They are my and many others' dark horse this year.
Uruguay is no Argentina or Brazil but they are very underrated. I have a hard time seeing the US scoring against that defense.
