Confidence? This post reeks of confidence  slowey-b if I could tell you when the US was going to win the World Cup I would. But I'm not Nostradamus. I can tell you when Mexico will win it. Never. It would probably take another 80 some years before you guys got to the semifinals. You guys make the Cubs look like the NY Yankees. So throw all the smileys and empty rhetoric you want, for all Mexico's history and tradition you have even less to show for it than we do.

Tell me again how Donovan pissing on the Jalisco pitch is worse than people throwing cups/bags of urine at him while he's playing on the pitch in Mexico?

And way to ignore the Osama chants and whistling during the Star Spangled Banner. Stay classy Mexico.

Both Mexico and the US will not win the world cup in the next 40 years or so :p.

I am really happy that ESPN is promoting the WC this time, it is such a global sporting event bigger than anything else.

I think this coverage will help spur continued growth.

Pretty sure they promoted the hell out of it in 06, considering they and ABC (like now) were carrying it.

Not sure, but I think this is the first time that all games are live.......

Either way, people will be able to follow every game.....I love it.

I thought I heard that this was the first time that every game in the tournament was going to be shown on US TV live.

Most extensive WC Coverage ever for ESPN

"South Africa 2010 will be ESPN’s seventh FIFA World Cup and coverage of the event promises to be the most comprehensive in company history. ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC will air all 64 matches live and in high definition. "

I didnt say it was worse or anything, the chants are just that, but the only thing pissed me off is whistling during the US anthem, Im very ashamed of those mexicans .

I root for the US, because I have a lot of family there, but obviously Mexico comes first.

Don't worry SJC, like Cruijf once said: "soccer is a game of 11 against 11 and in the end the Germans win"
