Great ESPN article to read before kickoff today. It's amazing how far U.S. soccer has come in such a short time. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/world-...-esophagus-saved-us-soccer?cc=5739&ver=global
BrooksBall was being sarcastic (I hope). Also Serbia and Australia play at the same time as Ghana-Germany so Group D and our round of 16 opponent will be decided this afternoon also.
I'm ready for this game today!!! Going home for lunch today to see the game!!! USA! USA!! USA!!! USA!!!!
Do any of you guys know where I can listen to this game , thats not on ESPN (my workplace blocks websites like that)?
I always hated this move. It is just for show, and if he just caught it they would have had the ball, but now England have another chance to make something happen. If a keeper of a team that I coached did something like this I would bench him for the next 5 games. Good Luck USA, I think they have a good chance, just beat Algeria, and you are in the next round, and it is not sure if it is better to finish second or first in this group.
I believe he refused to shake hands since the coach of South Africa had stated that France didn't deserve to be at the WC (with the whole Henry incident against Ireland).
He's going defensive at midfield. Since Robbie Findley is out for today I guess He's ready to counter attack and solidify the defense.
The problem with teams that are fun to watch rarely win the Cup (Just see basically every Dutch team in the last 20 years). Actually the best games to watch were between teams that are just not that good. If teams make mistakes it improves the quality for the viewer. I'm I the only one that really wants to see Argentina lose. i just cannot stand Maradonna, I hope he fails. If he wasn’t the coach, they would be my second favorite team.
I hope y'all don't take Algeria lightly, they might not be a talented team, but they play well together, not an easy pushover. However I still think you guys will pull it off. I expect England to crush Slovenia, 4 or 5 to 0.
