I agree. Put Cha in the Midfield as AroundTheWorld suggested. I swear I saw him more on the attack in the 02 cup and he had some good opportunities. I think with his size, speed, and strength combined with his attacking mindset he is playing the wrong half of the field.

He used to be a striker until they realised that he was dreadful in front of goal so they placed him somewhere in defence now known as right back.

He's got pace, and can tackle, but he cannot concentrate for more than 5 minutes at a time and the Nigerians were lucky he zoned out during the first half (Okay, maybe I'm being harsh here). However if you play him in midfield, you have to sacrifice Lee Yong-Chung, who is three time the player Cha is in attack. That's the primary reason why Cha plays right back, although I don't have a problem with unless he zones out. His overlapping runs are good and his crosses are dangerous so he's our version of Glen Johnson, although no where as good.

I wish we had Jong Tae-Se play for us or an 8 year younger Ahn Jung Hwan... better yet lets bring it way back to Cha Bum Kun in his prime

Korea is probably the top 5 most interesting/exciting teams to watch. Their D may be kind of spotty but their attacking has really improved.

I'd say Korea, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Germany have been the top 5 most fun teams to watch... all of their games are fun

At least Wilbon respects the game and Reali is a big fan of the game so he gives it airtime on his show.

    S. Korea is fun to watch no doubt, but they aren't going to advance past Uruguay unless they clean up their defense.

I just saw this, too... :( how embarrassing for the sport for him to do this. At about the halfway point, you can see the players exchanging jerseys. Why couldn't the coaches follow suit? Game is over, sir. Shake hands no matter what happened on the pitch. Take it up with the officials, not Parreira.
 WHAT?!?!?!? You didn't ask for these days off like the rest of us normal bro's??!?!?! Shame on you, sir! ;)

    Hope your son gets better.

I respect Brasil but they can't win this year. Than 6 would be to hard to catch up to.

It's sucks because it just adds on to the disaster that France is in right now, it makes soccer look bad. Domenech gets no respect from me. Especially not shaking a former WC winning coach in Perraira. He's also given way too much credit for the 06' WC run, one of the main reason France lost was because he substituted Henry out of the game, not because Zidane decided to go crazy. Henry was the best player in the world that year.

Domenech is a total joke. If anyone needed any confirmation of that, the incident with Parreira just confirms it. Unbelievable, really.

    He pulled a LerBon.

I'm pretty sure the French media is pretty much gonna burn him at the stake once the team gets back.

He be like, "no is no ma fault nicolas called my mama a ho" and they be like, "F uuuu!"

I just read up a little on the guy, and it's even worse than I thought: He has been choosing to play or not play certain players based on their star sign (WTF) and immediately after France was eliminated from the Euro 2008, he proposed on TV to his girlfriend (WTFWTF).

I guess every country gets the coach it deserves...

I can't believe Argentina decided to score RIGHT after I had to leave for the afternoon.

So South Africa is out based on goal difference? First host ever to fail to advance into the knockout rounds? Not that surprised...

Anybody know where to buy WC jerseys online, not fifa.com because they don't have the players on the back.

Never mind, I'll just to soccer locker.

Btw just found this version of the Addidas commercial. De Rossi is a beast. Plays with pure passion 100 % of the time, doesen't get enough recognition in the world of soccer. Reminds me of Marco Tardelli.

Uh, yeah, even the best player in the world starts to suck wind a bit after he's been running all out for 100+ minutes up front....that's not why they lost.

So glad Greece, ugly step-brother of Italy, got booted. They make matches ugly.
