They should be punished for such a pitiful showing. They have dishonoured our Dear Leader. I think 50 lashes should suffice for the majority of players. In public though. The captain should be thrown off 3 story building. The coach, in light of his older age, should be sent to a work-prison camp. This will teach young North Korean children not to fail in such a public and explosive manner.
I would normally agree, but it is apparently pretty horrible. You should read the book Nothing to Envy, a meticulous book built over 10 years of reporting by a writer who interviewed escapees about daily life. No exagerations really, and just pretty gut-wrenching. (not in the book) A previous team captain of DPRK, who defected, said that players from losing teams were sometimes purged from the program and sent to work in coal mines.
I just realized why the third games of the group stage are held simultaneously. It's so two of the teams playing each other can't agree to fix the game to where they can both advance depending on outcome of the other game.

Wow red card for France, for gourcuff. It is good that they punish these type of elbows, but they should do it always.
Dempsey had the same exact elbow against slovenia..It doesn't deserve a red card..but with the way France got here, they deserve all the bad things that happen to them
I believed Dempsey also should have gotten a red card, and elbow is an elbow. You do not need to have your elbow that high when you go for a header. These types of elbow really hurt people. WOW 2-0
