I'm happy with our result, we didn't play good but still won. Also we didn't get in any trouble and Affelay should have finished it. Of course our group is not that difficult, But so is England’s group and they are having trouble advancing. The only group that is much more difficult is Brazil, Portugal and Ivory coast.

This result of Australia and Ghana is not good for Germany, they really need to beat Ghana, otherwise they might get eliminated.

I hope you guys do well. With the likely exit of my Aussies you're my next favorite team. I have some man love for Dirk Kuyt... no one works harder in my opinion than he does. Plus of course you gave us Aussie Guus!...just wish we had him for this World Cup too ;)

Probably in the second round, we wanted to give him rest. I'm not sure if he will start, probably not.

Thanks, I was also rooting for Australia (I always root for the Dutch Coach). Kuyt is a great, he is always the hardest worker, If he had the talent Robben had than he would be the best ever

Handball was a good call. Tough call but the right one.

Yup...talk about basic defensive meltdown. How do you pass like that in your own area?

One of the more exciting matches so far - because both teams are far from perfect on the defensive end, and they both realize they HAVE to win.

Netherlands is the only elite country holding it up to their rep.

No I don't care about Brazil

    Great game

Easy chances on both sides. This should at least be 2-2

Cameroon has one of the most colorful uniforms ever. No defensive player should be able to lose them out of their sight.

And what happened with Denmark's usual chevron-filled shoulders and sleeves? Why did they change their usual uniform design?

Wow what a good game, now this is the Cameroon team I used to enjoy watching, end-to-end action. The score should be 3-2 Cameroon if everyone had come through on their easy chances, amazing that it is still 1-1. Best game of the World Cup by far in terms of entertainment.

Not being biased because it was the USA, but I think the Slovenia vs USA game was pretty damn entertaining. To see them come back like that, and then score the 3rd...which was taken away, like 3 minutes after the 2nd goal. It was insane.

What I like about today's game is that it's win or go home...pretty much. So they are going all out on the offensive...

I think Argentina has been holding their own and sort of making an example out of other teams.

Yup. Cameroon is a world of hurt right now. They have had so many chances but haven't put it away. Now they have to pull of a mini miracle to get the 3 points.

I think they are going to kill each other in the media afterwards if they lose.
