To what end? It won't make any difference. No one is going to feel sorry for the US.

    Shades of Karl Malone.

The USA needs to commence operation "Mali Freedom", and by freedom, I mean intense fire-bombing.

At the very least, maybe people will stop thinking the US doesn't care about soccer?

England is looking like the US in the first half. I would not be surprised if Algeria gets a lucky goal to go up at half.

Fabio Capello is apparently celebrating his 64th birthday today.

I can only pray that I look 1/8 that good when I'm 64.

If France had Algeria's team spirit and a different coach, they would have crushed the teams in their group.

Nah, a man who needs to try and assert his male dominance and "regulate" on the internet couldn't possibly be masking any possible insecurities. I'm sure Ronny is as confident as a peacock.

It would be so nice if this English goalie could let another one slip through.

    That picture is bs lol.

IIRC, that picture is before the foul whistle but after the action which caused the foul call.

Although I totally agree that at the point of the picture, all the Slovenians are fouling all the US players... but just before it a US player was moving forward and placed his hand/arm of the Slovenian defender and pushed him.

I'm not even sure the push demanded a foul.

I'm not saying it was not a mistake.

I'm just saying that the picture doesn't tell the whole story.

Tough luck. I was rooting for the US, but in football, the best teams stop whining after the whistle, pick up their balls and try to win the rest of the game or the next game.

Then again, I understand because I would be gutted too if it were my team. At least there's still a great chance.

    are favoring the

    UNDERDOGS today??

I'm reading a gambling forum, and today seems to have ALOT more "rigged" going on

There was alot of money on

    Germany -1 goal

    USA - .5 goal

    England -1 goal

Bottom line it should have been a no call and a goal. But the fact is that the US shouldn't have had to come back from 2 goals to even be in the position. They need to go back and realize what they did to give up those 2 goals because that is the true story.

So I just skipped out of work and watched hightlights for the first time, and I have to ask: Is the Slovenia nickname the "Charlie Browns"?
