I know you're just being a Ronny*, but the US Soccer Team most definitely doesn't have unlimited funds. I can't find a source for actual team budgets, but here's one for coach's salary, which is usually pretty representative of the team budget: http://ggfitnesstraining.com/?p=596

Bob Bradley makes $40,000/year more than the Slovenia coach. My guess is that the US team's budget is very similar to the Slovenian team's budget.

    * - Ronny (n.) - ignorant dick.

This is correct. We still control our own destiny. If we beat Algeria by 2 or more goals we are in no matter what the other teams do.

I'm not sure if he is, sir.

Regardless, that was one hell of a comeback. US is still in it. We can advance to the next round with a win on Wednesday and a little help from our mates across the pond.

    Sir.

Objective my ass. You have proven over and over to be anything but objective when it comes to US Soccer.

There are quite a few bs calls in soccer, nobody goes screaming at refs after a game. The argument should have taken place during when the game was going on. You guys got plenty of calls your way before that miss call. A lot of US players were diving and the ref was falling for all of them....

Well unless Slovenia beats England and then England beats Algeria today.

Then both have 2 wins and we're out of luck. But assuming England wins or ties against Slovenia, we should be ok provided we destroy Algeria.

Don't know what match you were watching. If you mean the US players were falling because they were tripped I agree, it was the Slovenian players covering their faces whenever they hit the ground. Acting as if someone poked them viciously in the eyes.

If the US players were diving so much, they would have dove then...and the ref would have called it. No way in the world did US get the benefit of the calls, you are first I am hearing this from.

I am sorry, I missed the point where an actual GOAL WAS TAKEN AWAY ....from Slovenia

Oh, wait, you are mixing situations of lessor gravity.

    Big shocker !!

Slovenia beats England would give 7 points, if England goes into that match with the 3 points and lose that only leaves them with 4 points.

US SHOULD get the 3 points against Algeria...if they don't have any goals taken away...and if they start out playing aggressively.

best thing would be a 0-0 or 1-1 tie today and then england beating slovenia 1-0. If the US beats algeria by at least a 1-0 score, they advance as the winners of the group.

No. I've said it in previous posts: USA got robbed. It makes now no difference what point of view we had or the ref had, 'cuz it's done...

Yeap. USA got screwed on that. If anything NOTHING should have been called... it is SAD that it was that ref's FIRST World Cup game.

I've already said it. USA got robbed.

It shouldn't have been that close, anyway... no way your or my team should let a couple calls disrupt where they should dominate.

We have a strong argument about officiating, but take it this way: if the Rockets make their free throws and don't let the game slip out of their hands, we shouldn't cry that they rob us in ONE play. Granted, it was blatantly bad in this case.

What can you do NOW? Nothing, men.
